Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Well the garage clearance uncovered a few gems including my Geography O level revision notes on the British coalfields, knowledge which has stood me in good stead over the years lol . Also came across my collection of postcards, reading them has brought back so many memories of the people who sent them, now long gone. Some of you may recognise the picture on the front of one which was sent to my parents in 1964, not the most scenic I have to admit.CB7C0241-90DB-4748-BB95-452BFD07257B.webp

I have driven at 70mph through the tunnel ,a while ago when it was obviously quiet .They were the first to use silicone damp proofing on the tunnel if I remember correctly . Oh and the bottom half is full of service pipes and pumping gear to empty the water that leaks constantly through the rock .

Good morning all on this dismal day weather and Everton wise ,it is hard to see what is happening at the moment.I hope allhad a good sleep and face the new day afresh .I am getting a bit more lively now as the days are getting longer .I did an oil change on the mower and some firewood work along with helping clean the house yesterday so the Winter slumber is hopefully over .COYB

Morning all. It's a bit chilly here today. Went to see my old Land Registry mates on their picket line this morning. Good to see them. Hard to judge how successful the strike has been with so many folk working from home. Counting the cars in the car park is no longer a good indicator!
I've just watched the latest installment of my new favourite TV show - The Great Pottery Throwdown. Its like Bake Off but with clay. I never knew I could get so invested in pots. ?
I hope everyone is OK. @Terrarian I was chatting to someone yesterday whose brother has applied for PIP. He mostly has mental health issues and scored 0 points. She is going to appeal on his behalf.
@fandjango Hope you are well and filling your days with painting and guitars.

I suspect it will be a bit like blue's butter chicken Anj...... Grainy. lol

And I'm shocked your old workmates haven't planned their strike for a Friday afternoon:blush:

Morning guys. How are you all doing today.?

Managed to avoid SSN all day yesterday, mainly because I was binge watching Happy Valley. I was able to keep a track on things via the bomb shelter thread though. I imagine the Everton forum was a bit toxic yesterday and probably still is.

Let's hope that a different manager can get enough out of this group of players to keep us up. The performances away to City and to United in the Cup show that they can do it when they put the application in. We'll see.

Agree Fred. If we can consistently repeat those performances we'll be OK. I watched Newcastle v Southampton on telly last night. Ward- Prowse couldn't hit a cow's arse with a banjo! Every time he plays us the ball flies like an exocet missile into the net!

Hi Fred hope you are good mate, I know you like a bet now and then, eggs who is quite knowledgeable about the horses, just posted these for his fancies at Cheltenham, as I don't follow the horses as much as when I lived back
home going to do a cheeky lucky 15 on them, use to put my bets on with Tommy in the Fox boozer back in the day.

Good Land 8-1 Ballymore
Fact to File 20-1 Bumper
Favori de Campdeux 12-1 Bartlett
Billaway 8-1 Hunter Chase
