@anjelikaferrett went there last year. Maybe she can provide you with some tips.Hello all. Hope you're all surviving deadline day. The Everton forum is gonna be so bad later tonight lol
Got a little trip to Bilbao planned for this weekend. Including tickets for an Athletic game Friday night. Can't wait. Hoping I'll find a bar near the stadium with some kind of nod to Howard Kendall. Lets see.
Any tips are gratefully received! Your curry looked boss BTW Fred@anjelikaferrett went there last year. Maybe she can provide you with some tips.
Cheers Bill. Was actually chuffed with how it turned out given I'd pretty much made it up. I've put the recipe in Sassy's thread if you're interested in having a go yourself.Any tips are gratefully received! Your curry looked boss BTW Fred
I'd love to give it a try but unfortunately I don't really feel like I have the time or energy to cook properly. Weeknights after work if I'm at home its either takeaway or something ridiculously simple like beans on toast or pasta with a bit of pesto or bolognese. And TBH weekends are pretty much the same even if I have a bit more time. There are quite a few dishes I'd love to try cooking but never really seem to get round to it unfortunately.Cheers Bill. Ha Ha. Fair enough mate. I'm the complete opposite, more time on my hands than I know what to do with. Cooking is a great release for me.I'd love to give it a try but unfortunately I don't really feel like I have the time or energy to cook properly. Reading is the same with me too. Got a big pile of books I want to read but never seem to manage it.
Yeah I like cooking too. Used to do a lot more than I do now. What are the beaches like this time of year? Deserted I guess?Ha Ha. Fair enough mate. I'm the complete opposite, more time on my hands than I know what to do with. Cooking is a great release for me.
Can't wait for the spring/summer so I can get out walking and go the beach.
Deserted by comparison to the summer. But you still get plenty of people going to them, either dog walking, just out for a mooch or even swimming. There's a big sea swimming community down here throughout the year. Must be mad. I normally start going in from around April/May provided it's nice and sunny and there's a decent air temperature of course. First dip is always the worst but it get's easier.Yeah I like cooking too. I went to Bilbao last March. Gorgeous place. Cheap too. We didn't manage to get to a match but from what I remember there are a few bars in the area. If you have time take the bus to San Sebastian (Mikel Arteta's home town). That's a beautiful place too. Right on the coast.Hello all. Hope you're all surviving deadline day. The Guggenheim museum is an astonishing piece of architecture. We stayed near the old town, absolutely loads of restaurants and bars around there. We mostly drank Amstel Ora which is a 6% beer. Well nice. I would recommend the hop on hop off bus and a trip on the funicular railway up the mountain- stunning views of the city below. They serve the Basque version of tapas, called pinxos, in all the bars. The locals have a drink and get a couple of pinxos- usually about €1 each, drink their drink eat the food and move on to the next bar and repeat the process until they decide to go home!Hello all. The girl who did our walking tour in San Seb gave us a good tip re. pinxos , watch if they give people a plate as they walk in the cafe and don’t go in there !. People are tempted to fill the plate and spend more money than they planned. Thanks for the tips! Just been reading up on all that and looking forward to it, the food especially!
