Please always remember that it is not her fault .I don't envy you but I certainly admire you for the strength you have dealing with this sad sad illness.Stay strong that man.I don’t mind at all and thanks for asking. As I’ve said, she’s physically fine and happy, but she has this constant repetitive wish to go out for a drive, constantly putting her coat on, then me having to explain that having just got back from a drive we are not going straight back out. Then rinse and repeat every couple of minutes until we go out again. It’s tiring but this is now our life…..

No idea but while we’re on the subject why do we also say “sit tight”?I have mentioned that we get up ,take our tablets ,have a cuppa then go backto bed to solve the worlds problems and plan the day or next weekends menu .We also ask how each other are and so on .Well today I asked how my wife had slept and she said "tight" .We say "Sleep tight and don't let the bed bugs bite" but to say you have slept tight is weird .Perhaps the grammatical amongst us can explain .

I was going to write our answers to these but honestly I feel like a bit of a belter doing it .No idea but while we’re on the subject why do we also say “sit tight”?
Evening Pete.Thanks, appreciated…..
My mum lost all track of time. She lived with my brother and I visited every day. I was also responsible for her personal care. She would demand we got the tea ready even though she had eaten her dinner barely an hour before, nothing would convince her so the table was set for tea. On the plus side the sheer pleasure she had every she saw the sunset over the trees at the bottom of the garden was a joy to behold, for her she was experiencing it for the first time. Best wishes to you and Mrs Pete.?I don’t mind at all and thanks for asking. My heart goes out to you and Mrs P. Such a challenging illness. I hope you have more patience than me.Thanks, I’ve got lots of people now giving me their experiences with Alzheimer’s patients, mums, dads etc, and it’s been really useful. Not all are the same but the more I can learn aids us in dealing with this horrible disease. Thank you for sharing…….
