Sounds like a great plan and she is wonderful friend / neighbourAnother beautiful morning down here in Cornwall. Most of the county dipped below freezing last night but once again I woke to another frost and fog free panorama. Probably sounding like a broken record now but it really is a little micro climate where I live and I feel incredibly blessed to be able to call it home.
Michelle (the neighbour) popped in unexpectedly last night. She wanted to sort out arrangements for my coming birthday and suggested a trip to Penzance where there is a lovely (and flat) promenade with great views of Mounts Bay, and then on to The Old Coastguard restaurant in nearby Mousehole. It's been an old haunt of ours over the years so she's either psychic or I've mentioned it in the past and she has a very good memory. Anyway I'm really looking forward to it and just hope the fine weather holds out. If the tide is right we may get a chance to visit St Michaels Mount too.![]()
? Please don't ever think you are a burden. It's good to say how you feel and if it helps you then carry on. My Granddad had Alzheimers. He became obsessed about his rent. He lived in a Council house and was convinced that he was going to be evicted because he had not paid his rent. There was nothing my Mum and her siblings could do to persuade him otherwise.I‘m not really known for my patience tbh, and it’s been somewhat difficult which is why I say we have been learning as we go. Within the space of a year life has changed completely for my family as we learn to adapt, but also for my wife who used to enjoy life, reading and travelling which she no longer does. As I say, she seems happy and well and as long as that continues then we can live with that…we just have to adjust to the new realities…
Sorry for burdening you all with this btw, but I do find it helpful…..
Absolutely Fred. Those poor people. The Syrians who have had to contend with a civil war and no this. It is just so sad. One of my friends, after being made redundant from Land Registry, sold her house and bought an RV and they just travel around Europe for at least 10 months of the year.. Last year she and her husband visited all the places in Turkey that have been most affected by the quake. She's just posted on Facebook that one of the ladies she met and kept in touch with has lost 8 family members. So very sad.I've said on here a few times that I tend to actively avoid things that I think would upset me or make me sad. But it's hard to avoid the scenes coming out of Turkey/Syria this morning. Heart wrenching. It does give one perspective though, if that were needed.
Isn't it what they used to say on the Vikings ships when they hit bad weather.
Followed by “Pass the bucket.?”

It's the birds I love about it. Feathered variety obviously.Good afternoon all. it's a lovely day here. Feels warm and spring is definitely on the way. I'm going to have a look later to see if any of my daffs are coming up. We are usually a good two weeks behind the north west so probably at least a month behind you @Barnfred 55 ! I love spring, it is undoubtedly my favourite season- everything coming back to life, nights getting lighter, it makes me happy.
Have a good day all.
Also cheese joke I have to share- why did Lewis Hamilton have too much cheese?
Because he won the grand brie.![]()
Don't know why they just can't do it in the sea like everybody else.Followed by “Pass the bucket,?”

I actually had to fight to stop myself going into a huge list of puns then and let me tell you it wasn’t cheesy (couldn’t resist one more ) .
