Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, another early start, on the plus side there is a robin sitting on our fence singing. I know they sing all year but hearing him/her (don’t want to offend lol) really does make me think Spring is nearly here. Have a good day, all.💙
Glad you don’t want to set off that robin on the bad foot 😀

Daffodils and Crocuses blooming in the park now and the little bit of sunshine makes a little difference to your soul.

Then you think about football.

I'm trying not to let Everton get me down. I'm still optimistic about staying up this season. We'll see! I've decided to spend more time taking nature/outdoor pics. I haven't done that in a while. Here are a few I took.

These mountains are just north of Vegas. I can see part of them from my driveway. It took me 10 mins to get to my photo spot to shoot.

The first pic is from last week after the rain/snow we got and the other 2 are from yesterday after it REALLY snowed! :)

The peak closest in the pics is 6k feet elevation. Supposedly, you can hike to the top from the backside, takes 5 hours. The area in the foreground of these pics is called Tule Springs Fossil Beds National Monument. Scientists believe it contains the most Ice Age fossils in the world.

fantatic.Mrs J wants us to visit Las vegas and California ( I fancy California but my vision of LV is that it will be a bit tacky and blingy - and we don't gamble ) . Anyway whats the best time of year weather wise to visit. Nice and sunny perhaps 27-30 degrees but not too hot.?

Spring and Late summer/Autumn are the best times. I'll send you a historic weather link for Vegas. June through August/September - JUST NO!!

If you want to visit Death Valley National Park, which is an hour away from Vegas, try to get here when it's even cooler because Death Valley will be 6-10 degrees hotter than Vegas. but it's a dry heat so you could probably be fine even for a short side trip there. Plus all of the cars here have air conditioning so no problem there.

I enjoy it here and I haven't gambled in forever and the same for going to the Strip. lol

I'll also send you non-gambling things to do. :)
