Morning guys, I have an appointment with the shrink soon and then off to visit my sister.

She's having a tough time due to having to deal with my dad who is getting dementia , my mother died on boxing day. Don't feel sorry for her, they are part of the reason I am the way I am and I cut them off years ago.

However as me and my brother just don't want anything to do with him it is left on her shoulders and it's making her ill and so I said I'd help, for her not him. Not sure what we can do though really. I said she's lucky as I'm feeling good at the minute, so I offered assistance and she's very grateful.

I haven't started my therapy yet, i am just seeing the Dr as a follow up to see how I'm doing. he said he can tell a difference as well. He's increasing my medication so I can take some in the morning as well.

I have a bit of an idea what your sister is going through tbh and it’s not pleasant. It’s frustrating, emotional and tiring. Any support you can give her, even just as a sounding board will help her. Your dad will be in his own little world and your sister will be faced with issues she probably has never dealt with and is going through a cruel learning process. it’s not easy and may go on for a long time…I pray she has both the physical and mental strength to get through it…..

That is exactly what She wants, She isn't happy about it, we all were pretty much estranged from our parents due to the way we were brought up and that's why I don't think it's fair to burden her with it on her own. My brother however isn't interested.

Good morning all on this bright day here in Finland .I hope all are well and had a good night .We have been watching love/hate ,although Boardwalk empire had much more violence I think it wrenches at the gut because it is so similar to Liverpool .
I once had a car written off by a druggie and had to go to the police station to get a form to claim the insurance (Uninsured driver) on talking to the officer there he said he had been 100 yards from where I lived and they had found over 1,000,000 in notes in a bin liner -the guy told him he won it betting on the gee gees but had no stubs to prove it and they had to leave it ! Don't ya just love it .

Tough situation for you T but good you are there for your sister. Just keep a close on yourself though to make sure the extra annoyance of this doesn’t impact your upward curve. If in any doubt about that talk to your GP and let them know what’s happening.

I see Sky are following up on their Liverpool Narcos documentary with one focussing on Dublin in the 1980s. I’m looking forward to that in a horrified way.

Anecdotally, Belfast’s social decline from when I last saw it in early 2020 until back again at the end of 2022 is stark. Much more obvious drug abuse and homelessness right off the main city centre thoroughfare.

The one thing that watching it is how many lives are wasted .I am not judging as there are many reasons people take drugs nevertheless the recreational use wastes good lives.
Why they are not legal is one arguement but this drug lord rubbish has to stop,there must be a solution better than is happening now .

I'm looking forward to watching that as well. Thought the Liverpool one was really good but as you say in a horrified way!

I've decided to go to Liverpool on my own this weekend. If I go by myself I can stay at Dad's. The hotel prices are mad and I really object to paying the prices! I'm looking forward to seeing everybody.

Thankyou, only doing the right thing really, my sister is ill enough without this, she has lupus and fibromyalgia so i don't think it's fair on her.

Morning(just) hope you're all good.

I put my prescription in the chemist yesterday afternoon and told them I'd pick it up this morning, so i didn't have to leave Daisy outside too long, went to pick it up and it wasn't done, so had to leave her outside anyway, bloody idiots.

Not sure if I'll see the game, my meds tend to zonk me out and i can't have them too late or I'd feel crap in the morning.

I managed too do some longer walks this week, first time up the farm, legs are sore but she's worth it.
