Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I cant believe his missus named him. The police have said there's no evidence of a crime but his career is over even if the allegations are unfounded.
Well mental health problems or not he's pissed on his chips and she must feel totally devastated and betrayed.
Guess we will never know if she outed him out of spite or with his agreement. I suspect that it's the former as nothing about the statement reads as if it comes from him.

I feel sorry for him tbh. I had no sympathy for Schofield and had it turned out to be that smug egotist Lineker I’d have been happy. It’s really sad because he always seemed like a solid rock in terms of the TV and News….it sort of undermines any beliefs you may have tbh…..anyway, my last word on the subject…..

Yet while being named, apparently to date he has not broken the law.

Talking to a mate tonight, whose wife is also suffering from Alzheimer’s. Anyway he was saying about how it’s would be nice to get people together just to chat, coffee/tea and cake etc on a regular basis as he tries to invite people to visit to help his wife. I’m thinking of setting something up in the pub so that people suffering or even just lonely older members in the village can have a day to get out and socialise…..,

That would be great Pete , I went to Prescot for the match last Saturday but met an old friend from work in the new theatre there and they have a space in the cafe called Chatter Saturday or something, for people to turn up and chat, have a cuppa , play board games etc. I don’t think that those of us who are lucky enough realise how much loneliness is a problem for people who are widowed or on their own, or are carers who need a break. My mum was on her own for 13 years after my dad passed and the church groups she was involved with kept her going. More power to your elbow ;)

I hope you are making hot water pastry for a pork pie
It’s the only way … the difficulty here is buying lard … but the guy I watched on you tube prefers butter anyway
The pastry and pie turned out great …. Scoffed with cold beer last night with my Spanish buddy Bruno who has never had savoury pie in his life before

Good morning all on this sunny day here in Finland .I hope all are well and had a good night's sleep . @peteblue that is a great idea ,if nothing more it will give company to some who need it .At best it could be a life changer ,it could be this thread around a table or two . Despite what many think a good turn never goes unnoticed . Have a great day all ,I will have to pay for my international membership so I can watch the preseason matches COYB.
There is no reasoning ,at least sensible reasoning but just typing that I got all excited for the new season .Perhaps a shirt with Young on the back would make me think of times gone by .

Based on ( what little) we know I find it hard to see much difference between the situations that both Edwards and Schofield have created. Your view of Lineker is coloured by your politics I suspect Pete .
It just goes to show that the old adage is absolutely true , money can't buy you happiness.
