Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

We need to talk about St Helen’s.

Isn’t the accent kinda Scouse/kinda Manc? He saw one of my lads Everton top first day in our holiday hotel and came over to invite them to play football with his grandkids later on. Lovely gesture but he was surprised we weren’t Scouse.

My kids hadn’t a clue what he was saying and they are well used to Scouse. He struggled with me and that normally doesn’t happen in Liverpool. I thought he was Yorkshire myself but then after meeting various members of his family they all had a similar accent and all struggled with me.

Too many Pina Coladas for me or is the St Helen’s accent a breed apart?
Sorry! What?

Any interpreters in here?

What time did you get back…
The neighbours wife's away at a funeral and he's a lost soul without her. So he fancied a Chinese for tea and it would be rude not to keep him company. So I landed in Newquay around 15 mins late at 3.30. I landed at home about an hour ago. I've now been up pretty much 21 hours so I'm ready for my bed. It's nice to be in my own bed too. Night guys.

Should have got Val to translate. She's from that neck of the woods.

What brought you to post that Rita?
It has been a smaller advert that has caught my attention previous over the last say two weeks or so.
I got the full of it during the ad break in this evenings 'last leg' on channel four. And it upset me, the harm it spells out is very clear, I'm glad I don't have to face the evolution of pressures such as is the world currently for a significant other. Although there is clear pain there, and I considered the fume thread, it is important that such poison is confronted, so I laud the parents and guardians of the young that have contributed to such an important issue as well as the young lucky enough to be pulled away from the toxicity, that they can be part of the successes that made that ad. There are unlucky.

A quiet moment of reflection and gratitude. We have put our greatest fear into the hands of the ones we want to protect most.

Not the sort of thing I normally look af tbh. Not because I don't think the subject matter is important, as it clearly is. But it just makes me sad and I tend to not do things that make me sad

Was at York races Friday with a couple of lads I haven’t seen for a few years from Donny and Hull. Worked with them for 20 years at BP in Hull. Was like we were still there. No luck on the gee gees, but heh ho, a very good day
Get that mate. Met up with lots of old friends over the last 10 days and you just continue where you left off last time you saw them, whether test ge 6 months ago, a year or even much longer

I avoid snuff 'film' and the current trend in live streamed massacre. I've recently asked as such.

The balance in the link I posted is that there is light in the darkness of the social media storm. Specifically against the social media equation.

"there is more to life than making in faster" and the speed at which children are being forced to grow up at is reprehensible. There seems a lot more sad out there than happy currently, maybe it was ever thus.
