Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

🤣🤣Guilty as charged, that's my local station complete with gaelic translation, I live about a mile along the road and the trains pass along the cutting at the bottom of my garden.
We're fortunate that it's a main line station with half hourly trains to Edinburgh and Glasgow.
If I'd known that I'd have waved as I went past ;)

I didn't watch the tennis final - I got very engrossed in the Women's Ashes which has been just as nail biting as the Men's. Unfortunately England lost but they have been brilliant, pushing the Aussies so close. Nobody gave them a chance at the start of the series.
I channel surfed.
Sciver -Brunt was fantastic.
England were a bit unlucky but you can't chew up balls like Dunkley or gift your wicket like Jones and expect to win

Good morning all on this fine day here in Finland .I hope all sleot like babes and have a super day today .I hope @Ducans elbow put his money where his mouth is and paid for a slap up meal for his lovely wife with enough booze to make the meal memorable . I am jealous as my missus won't let me take her out . I found an old pair of galoshes at the back this morning and might wear them with pride going out to the shops today . Have a great day all COYB

Morning everyone,

@Terrarian please let's us have a short post just to let us know that you and Daisy are ok.

Ok morning everyone. Start of another Ashes and Open week but not sure that the weather got the memo.

Been to the last 2 Opens at Hoylake but not going to this one. Just saw a bizarre announcement that buses will replace trains between West Kirby and Hoylake , absolutely mad.

Anyway got to wait in for a delivery this morning so no particular plans but weather improving this afternoon so I'm sure I will be gardening at some point. I know the weather's unsettled but honestly I wouldn't want those 40 degree temperatures in Europe as a gift.

Well , whatever you do I hope you have a great day.
