Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Once again I am sat in The Brick having a few very peaceful pints. Only about 8 of us in here. Yesterday I met my daughter in town for lunch ( I would have said dinner but some might have thought I was out at night) ended up in Bakchich on Bold Street, very nice food. Will have to be a bit more adventurous next time with the mezes. Anyway the point of this is that several of the places on Bold Street had queues outside at 2pm and town was packed. No cost of living crisis in Liverpool it seems.
 
Hi folks, it's blowing a gale here. Some really dark clouds overhead but I think the wind is keeping the rain away. A very quiet lzy Sunday today for me and Mr F. Daughter is at work so we're having a beer or two and watching the Tour de France - which I am convinced is a 3 week promo for the French Tourist Board. 🤣It just looks beautiful. Speaking of daughter she's doing her first night shift the week after next. 7 twelve hour nights followed by a week off. I know she's a grown adult and a sensible young woman but I can guarantee that I won't get a wink of sleep - she's still my baby!

Hello Blue and everyone else thank you very much for your concern, I'm doing okay, I'm not spending as much time on GOT as I used to and I certainly don't have the time to trawl through and catch up with what's happening so I do apologise in that respect.

I hope in turn everyone is well and enjoying the summer though it's been continuous showers up here for the last month or so.
I have 2 weeks off work in September but we haven't booked anywhere as yet, I used to spend hours looking for the right holiday and these days I'm just waiting for something to jump out of the screen.

This weather is crazy - I’m sat in the garden watching my washing drying on the line (another exciting Sunday 😂) and pondering on stuff. It’s really sunny and warm but we’ve had a morning of rain x

Yeah the Alps look stunning.
Just back from Pilling in N Lancs after I was Joe Le Taxi ( who can resist a little bit of Vanessa) to Mrs J delivering a gorgeous 9month old pooch to his new home.
Apart from chucking up in the car ( fortunately Mrs Js!) he was good as gold. OMG though Pilling is literally in the middle of nowhere and next to the village where the Nicola Bulley drowned earlier this year.
Anyway a brief rest to watch a bit of the Tour and then cut the grass as the sun has now come out and it's lovely.

Ha, I get the dinner tea/lunch dinner thing - dinner and tea for me. Also another interesting debate in our Wigan/Liverpool house- is it ice-lolly or lolly-ice?
