I know you're proud of your wide knowledge if useless information Blue, but how do we know you aren't just making thus up if there's no way of checking .For my special word question .Three meanings of the word Noggin and there only two in the dictionaries I checked .
It looks wonderful - well done for your effortsOh dear I like Nat King Cole too , but the jazz piano playing Nat as opposed to the crooner Nat.
We have a dry Mediterranean garden too. I raised the levels by about a foot and filled the area with soil and about 6 inches of gravel to aid drainage. I've planted buddleia as a screen against wind and then yuccas, agaves, olive trees , lavender and a few other things to give some summer colour .
I only finished the tropical garden a week or so ago and if you go back 10 pages you should see some photos which Fred very kindly posted . There are tracyhocarpus fotunei ( palm tree) X2 , agapanthus, cordylines, fatsia japonica ( castor oil 2 spiders web and 1 normal ) 7 banana plants ( 5 muso basjo and 2 muso grand Nairn) , a schefflera , a tetrapanix , various grasses , persecaria , ferns , dahlias, acanthus a water feature with umbrella plants and bruchmasia fuschia and a Paulawina.
Fingers crossed that it all grows. It's in a south facing sheltered spot so it has a decent chance if I add some winter protection.
Nah, I have no plans to build on itTo make it a proper Mediterranean garden you’ll need to set fire to it……
Thank you. Needs to grow now. What you can't see is that I had to lift and move about 59 flagstones before I could lay out the paths and bordersIt looks wonderful - well done for your efforts
The storytelling aspect of country music has been mentioned in the thread in the past by @anjelikaferrett @Vegas Toffee Girl and me , this song has just been on in our kitchen and it’s a great example. One of the writers , Jessie Alexander took part in a writer’s round concert I went to and she explained the song was written after another writer heard an interview on the radio with a couple who’s son had been killed in Afghanistan. The father said he kept his son’s truck and goes out driving in it to feel close to him , I’m not expecting any “converts” but hopefully it’s a pleasant few minutes in your afternoons.

Not a big fan of the country music but that is so poignant.
I was like that at the concert , it was even more moving with a female singer and an acoustic guitar. Another one that always gets me is “5 more minutes” by Scotty McCreery.OMG! What a beautiful and sad song. It's suddenly very dusty near my computer desk. Thanks for sharing.
