If you’ve seen The Museum of Free Derry I did an interesting walking tour from there, if you like that kind of thing.

I have never thought it to be a joint ,carpentry term yes but for me it was the pieces of wood we put into steel girders to hold whatever we were covering them in be it plasterboard or asbestolux etc. Did you know it or ask mr google ?

I would have got that ( my old dad was a joiner ) but I thought that the strut between the joints was a nogging ( with a g). lol I feel a bit cheated TBH @blue1948

I recalled it from somewhere, but then typed in noggin-woodwork. If you type just noggin then only the first 2 come up

Morning all, another cloudy one after overnight rain not complaining though, it’s paradise compared with other parts of the world. Early start today, off to son’s soon ready for grandkid no. 2 and the school run. It’s her final week in primary school so the end of an era . She is looking forward to secondary school which is good, unlike me, who approached grammar school with fear and trepidation. Turned out I was right. The County Grammar was twinned with Dotheboys Hall.lol. Back to the brown knickers @Barnfred 55 .. Thanks for the update @blue1948 re @Terrarian, hope he’s okay. Have a good day, all.

Thank you. Needs to grow now. What you can't see is that I had to lift and move about 59 flagstones before I could lay out the paths and borders

I know what you mean, I chose the job of moving old concrete out from between flags with a mallet and some long iron stick thing, which has a name I’m sure. Between that and walking the biggest bull mastiff I’ve ever come across my shoulder has not yet recovered. Better workout than the gym.

I’m not sure what the weather’s like here as I’ve not dragged myself out of bed yet, but I’m going to have to do in a minute as I’m up at the kennels again this morning. It’s lovely to hear about your granddaughter @Gwladysover - a massive milestone for her, I hope she enjoys her last day at primary. I’m dog walking on my own this morning, so if you see a woman being dragged round the Lancashire countryside by a dog the size of a small lion, that’ll be me. Have a great day.
