Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi folks. Hope you are all OK. I had to work today, I swappped my non working day until tomorrow so I've had to work three days in a row! Just been to do the weekly shop as well. I need a lie down and a stiff drink.

I see Dele Alli's Mum has given an interview to the S*n saying she's heart-broken and hasn't stopped crying since he di the interfiew. Polite company and the swear filter does not allow me to say what I think. This isn't about you love, it's about your chid who you neglected horribly.

In happier news I'm looking forward to the weekend (Liverpool trip) and next week. Son and his girlfriend are coming up to celebrate his 30th. We've got a meal booked in the aptly named Fat Hippo and our Scotch Egg experience which should be a laugh. I'm off Mon Tues Wed and then I've been roped in to validate some Equality Diversity and Inclusion training that is being rolled out. Regulars will know it is something I care about a lot and was how I started as a Union rep. The training is all day Thursday and half day Friday.

The Test match is going fairly well. I haven't watc hed any of it yet today but the score looks like England have had a decent day. I agree with you @jazzy about yesterday on Le Tour. My first thought was that's not natural. Pojacar seems to have cracked today -just about to watch the highlights.

Have a good Wednesday.

Yes it's so rewarding helping the animals. As my friends on here know I occasionally help out at the shop ( wrecked the card machine last time but happily it's working now) and I'm on the gate at the quarterly dog shows and fairs.
Last week I helped Mrs J deliver a lovely dog , Patches , to his new home in Pilling.
Personally I find it tough to go to the sanctuary and see the pups in kennels.
We have loads of animals, all rescues , 2 dogs , a cat , 2 goats, a sheep and 5 chickens.
I envy you your animals- I would personally love a donkey. I try to stay detached from the dogs in kennels but usually fail miserably and am often in tears on the way home. Every so often one comes along which I completely fall in love with and end up having lots of gin fuelled discussions with my husband about how we could make it work. My most recent one was a beautiful young xl bully with the cutest face who was proving difficult to find a home for. Thankfully he’s now homed and my emotions are back in check. I’m such a soft touch.
