Yes that’s it!Was the answer a crowbar?
Yes I do volunteer walking and absolutely love it.Do you help out at a rescue Val?
Which one? My wife and her sister set up Animals in Need , now called Carla Lane Animals in Need after the famous writer closed her own sanctuary and endorsed their charity. Then my wife became ill and gave up being a trustee . Now she's retired she spends half life either at the rescue, the rescue shop or on the phone trying to get new homes for the dogs.Yes I do volunteer walking and absolutely love it.
Oh I’ve seen that one on Facebook- sounds like a wonderful establishment. Wow I’ve got serious respect for them doing that. I volunteer for Rochdale dog rescue, which is a small rescue who as the name suggests mainly get dogs who are at risk of being PTS, or whose owners have died, or have been neglected, or increasingly young dogs who have been bought as puppies been given very little training and discipline and then handed over to rescue when they can’t cope with them. They use a kennel in Eccleston which is not that far from where I live, although the girls who run it live over in east lancs as the name suggests. I started doing it when I retired. We’d always had dogs up until about 15 years ago when we found out that the asthma my son had been treated for since birth was actually a fur allergy, and even though he’s now flown the nest I can’t bring myself to expect him to take antihistamines every time he comes round. Plus the retirement plan was to do lots of travelling so not fair on a dog either.Which one? Oh she's fine now thanks. She had a stroke at 32 , open heart surgery 18 months later after it was found that that was the cause of the stroke and further heart surgery 7 years or so ago.Oh I’ve seen that one on Facebook- sounds like a wonderful establishment. Yes it's so rewarding helping the animals. As my friends on here know I occasionally help out at the shop ( wrecked the card machine last time but happily it's working now) and I'm on the gate at the quarterly dog shows and fairs.Oh I’ve seen that one on Facebook- sounds like a wonderful establishment. That’s good news - she’s certainly been through it thoughOh she's fine now thanks. She had a stroke at 32 , open heart surgery 18 months later after it was found that that was the cause of the stroke and further heart surgery 7 years or so ago.

Yes we had exactly the same AnjOne of my friends fosters French Bulldogs from a rescue in Wakefield. She's got one herself- who quite frequently pops up on our team meetings! Anyway she was telling me that they have had a glut of 3 year old Frenchies who have been handed over. Lockdown puppies whose owners are back at work and don't want them or can't manage them. Very sad.
