Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all, it’s lashing down with rain here this morning as well @blue1948 and it looks like it’s in for the day, which fills me with deep joy as I’m off to watch the friendly against Wigan this afternoon and no doubt there will be no overhead shelter at the stadium. It wouldn’t be so bad if I thought I was in for a thrilling afternoon of football but Wigan seem to be floundering like a fish out of water as well. I did wonder which kit we would be playing in, but in true Everton style they released the away kit at the last minute - or was it planned this way just to twist my melon!
Have a great day everyone 😊

Good morning all on this dismal day here in Finland .I hope all awake fresh for the day today after a good kip. Still haven't signed up for the hatch today after the last game ,I thought we had taken a backward step .I am sure I will watch I just like to kid myself that I have a choice. Have a great day all COYB
Do yourself a favour Blue , forget the match and have a bottle of vodka instead .

Absolutely hammering down here.

I'd be astonished if there is any cricket on . The golf could be off if the greens get flooded , hell even Evertons game could be in jeopardy lol .

If it goes ahead we are in the privileged position of having our own match reporter in @Val P , nothing less than a follow up with Alex will do mind!

@anjelikaferrett hope the weather doesn't affect you having a great time back home .

Well whatever you do everyone have a great day and stay dry.

Morning all. Dry here at the moment. Rain forecast with high winds later, which is a shame as the Willow Festival is on the river embankment for three days. Hoping to go tomorrow if the weather is ok. Have had a request from Jessica for boots for her new teddy so I guess that’s me sorted for the afternoon. Yesterday childminding went well, to my surprise they actually asked to do some maths homework, so I printed a few worksheets off, Hannah needed help with hers - fractions. I wasn’t clever enough to get O level maths but did get City and Guilds arithmetic however according to Hannah I don’t know what I’m doing. My method is completely wrong, it’s all done differently switching and flipping and a damn sight more complicated if you ask me, which no one is of course. lol
Have a good trip @anjelikaferrett, enjoy the game if possible @Val P sounds as though it may be a soggy one. I like the new away kit better than the old one though, not really a fan of bright pink, which Hannah says makes me weird!
Have a good day, all.💙

Re the new salmon pink shirts ........I'm hearing 2 new possibilities as sponsors "Barbie the movie" and "John West" , all sounds a bit fishy to me ( @VegasToffee Girl you wont get the 2nd one but hopefully one of our older readers will explain )

I like all of the kits this year, especially the away goalie one. Well done for trying the maths homework, though everything seems complicated these days.

Failing maths o level was one of the reasons I became a lawyer! A lot to be said for being crap at maths lol .

To my horror I later found out that you had to pass Accounts in the Law Society Finals to qualify as a solicitor. If you failed Accounts you had to retake every other exam regardless of how well you did in them until you passed accounts.

Needless to say I had nightmares and was completely gobsmacked when I ended up with 90 % in accounts.

I still have dreams now after I've been retired for 13 years that I failed Accounts and had to retake the lot.

@Val P expecting updates every 5 minutes - no pressure - at least it's stopped raining !

Even got out in the garden to plant the last couple of things in mum's new garden and a couple of crdylines and a silver fatsia japonica in my topical garden.

might have a cheeky glass of wine whilst I watch the golf and prey for play at OT.

Like you I hated Maths but had to take the Higher Level Paper to addd up enough points to get into Law.

Got enough in total second time round, finished an LLB, an it stood be very well in three Government Deprtaments throughout my career.

Never saw or used a bloody parabola ever again after leaving school!!

Outrageous that humanities-minded students are forced to do Maths.
