Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning all hope everyone is well. Not much going on in here this morning - bit of housework and a bit of family tree work probably as sons wedding suit being delivered. Hope to god it fits otherwise it’s back to the drawing board. Such a shame about Sinead O’Connor, she seemed such a troubled soul bless her.

Happy Norfolk Day @Gwladysover thats a great beach! I have lovely memories of Norfolk going on holiday when I was a little girl. In those days we took two days to get there and used to stop overnight in a BandB in Grantham (I think). We stayed at a place called Walcott, and Winterton on Sea which I remember having the biggest waves. Also the Norfolk Broads - is it still as lovely and peaceful as I’ve always fancied going back.
We used to holiday in Hemsby, the next village up from Winterton. When I was young my parents used to rent a chalet in the sand dunes and it was the perfect seaside holiday. Sadly, coastal erosion has forced the closure of the beach until further notice, which could be as long as twenty years. The Norfolk Broads, like most places, has become busier and more touristy but it is still lovely.

Guilty, m’lud. I’m addicted, I can spend hours going down various research rabbit holes! I’m currently researching the family of Matilda Pratt, named on my antique mug mentioned here on Page 1954. I also have a subscription to the British Newspaper Archive, which results in me getting sidetracked for hours, too. Perhaps I’m just plain nosey. lol

It’s so addictive isn’t it. I totally lose track of time when I get into it. I find it fascinating tracking them through census records and imagining what their lives were like.

Afternoon everyone.

Bit of a nondescript day . Weather poor , gloomy with intermittent showers.

Had a big gym session and then watched the cricket.

Continued frustration on the Everton front.

Don't they realise that we have no centre forward and an easy start to the season and if we fail to cash in we will struggle at the back end of the season ?

If we start the season with no new centre forward and BK still in the chair I predict a bloodbath

Good evening folks. I've spent my day doing equality diversity and inclusion which was fun. Weather a bit drizzly, not very warm. I've also been finishing off the Scotch eggs.
I can't understand what is going on at Everton at all. I completed agree with @jazzy and @fandjango . It's very puzzling to try and work out what the logic is with regards a centre forward.

Been down the pub for 1/2 hour; first time in 3 weeks. Turkey said, "Good to see you; all ok?" Pointed to me bonce, "Still not there sometimes Turk." "Ah well, pop down a bit earlier next time, the lads were asking how you were doing."

Pubs eh? @peteblue

Glad you went mate. I spent this evening playing dominoes and then watching some real experts play it, proper education…….

Good morning all on this overcast day in Hyvinkää. I hope all are fit and well after a good kip. Not much happening here ,hoover the house and a bit of sewing ,hopefully I can get the inspiration to do a bit on the car project . Having been messed around with wrong parts and customs / delivery hickups I have lost the wind from my sails ,that and I am close to finishing the patchwork quilt has me all a dither .
Tonight we are having a long awaited macaroni cheese using the fodue mix from Lidl ,I just hope it tastes nice and not too bland .It is amazing how my tastes have changed since getting here ,they might have changed with age anyway but I am often disappointed with an old favourite -cheese and onion pies that were sent over just didn't have that taste I remembered .Hairy biker's does though and I make it whenever the boss lets me .Have a great day all .COYB
