Good morning all on this overcast day here in Finland .I hope all had a good night and are ready to face the new day .Quote heavy on here yesterday but it shows how strong we believe in each other ,it is a pleasure to virtually know you all.
I should finish the patchwork quilt this morning so photos to follow Have great day all.COYB
Morning Blue , hope everything is good over there. Well our terrible summer weather continues here. There was a stat on the weather report that said we have had 3 times the usual amount of rain in July. That feels about right and looks set to continue into August. Bloody depressing.

Morning everyone,

Well what a day yesterday.
As @anjelikaferrett and @blue1948 said it was both heavy and intense. After that what a late afternoon/ early evening of Ashes cricket, quite incredible.

Mrs J off to the shop today and I will do mums weekly shop and then toddle off to the gym.

Looks like I might get to finish my book because I can't see me getting out into the garden.

Weather is so bad that we are having sausage and mash tonight ( no blue there won't be a photo 😁).

Anyway whatever you do have a lovely day everyone.

Edit I forgot to mention the suspension parts for the Jag ,they were posted with a delivery date 15th July and I got them yesterday ,Brexit my arse.
There is a conflict in the postal systems between the UK and the EU neither wants to deliver to the others . I try to source the parts from Ebay.de who get them from the UK but it seems to work better especially postage wise -for the same parts from the same supplier !
Between patchwork quilts and changing Jaguar suspension parts, is there nothing you can’t do man!!??!!

It’s still shorts weather though regardless of the rain.

Morning everyone- I hope you are all well. Our conversations yesterday are still on my mind and I’m sending caring thoughts to all.
To my husband’s great delight today he is coming with me while I look for shoes and handbag. Sat here in bed listening to the rain siling down and feeling like it’s Autumn not August. Like you @jazzy I find this so depressing, it feels like 7 years since I was in Greece.
Hope it’s better where you all are and have a great day.

I love going shopping with Mrs J.
For some strange reason she really values my opinion. Well I suppose after 40 years I know what suits her.

She particularly likes me in TK Maxx. She doesn't have the patience to look through the thousands of items to find the 1 or 2 things in the whole shop that she might like so she goes to homeware. I plough through the rails and we meet up at the changing rooms!

She tried going shopping with her sister and came back frustrated "all she wanted to do was look for herself" was her lament !

Yes 4 weeks and counting until I get my next fix of Greek sunshine.

Good morning all. We have blue skies here. Wooo! I strongly suspect it won't last. More rain due this afternoon.
I've just realised that I'm going to miss following our first match on 12th. Mr F and I are going to Redcar races. I booked it ages ago and didn't realise it clashed with the opening day fixtures. So no slobbing in front of Soccer Saturday on that day!
Incidentally going to Redcar involves setting off early, parking at the opposite end of the town to the course, walking along the beach to the course with obligatory fish and chip stop ( because you are at the seaside) on the way. On the way back - lemon top ice cream.

You’re a dream companion for shopping!! I like taking Mr P with me because if I can’t decide between a couple of things he says - oh just get them both. I don’t know if it’s generosity or a need to get home quicker but either way it works for me. I also trust his opinions.

OMG! I know we've never met but will you come shopping with me? I need a shopping buddy like you. Mr F has the attention span of a gnat and has to be bribed to come with me.

Blue sky? What’s that? Redcar races sounds like a fun day out - I’m liking the sound of lemon top ice cream 😋.

That sounds like a great day out , well apart from the driving bit because you can't drink . Oh and I don't like horse racing either. But the walk on the beach , fish and chips and ice cream sounds fab!
BTW I am available for commissions as a personal shopper. What a great job that must be .
