Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good afternoon all. I hope you are all having a good day. @peteblue I can only echo what others have said. Hope you had a decent sleep. Love the pics @Gwladysover and @Val P . I too love old churches and cathedrals. I quite like 'new' cathedrals too like Coventry and both Liverpool ones. The Anglican one isn't that old really. If I remember correctly it was completed in the 1970s. I had my graduation from Liverpool Polytechnic in there.
No overtime today so I've been to The gym. We did a PT session and some cardio before. This afternoon will mostly be watching the sport on TV. @jazzy did you watch the cricket yesterday. What a match. I caught about the last 20 overs after I finished work.
My son had his graduation there too.The graduates picked up their cap and gowns from a building next to the Catholic cathedral and all walked down Hope Street with their families for the ceremony. Another great day for our family on Hope Street.

No problems with flooding?
Not for me , the band of wet weather warnings seems to be moving up the east coast adjacent to the North Sea . Our Trainer today lives close to Brechin which has suffered the most and a few of her trains were cancelled. Sadly the same areas will likely be hit with more flooding, with rain falling on already saturated ground. The local rivers I passed today , Findhorn, Lossie and Spey were all high but not flooding. Thanks for asking 👍

Hi All!

Just got back from the stable. It was windy and autumn like. All 3 pets (minus the birds) are on the couch with me right now trying to stay warm. smh It's like 75 degrees in the house! They wouldn't last in Britain! lol

Going back to my 3 weeks of drama, it's all bit of a blur now, but it was rough for awhile. Long story short I was sick twice, my son was sick twice, but his 1st illness started with a headache and a swollen lymph node to 2 days later he woke up with chest pain so bad he could hardly breath. I rushed him to the ER where they took him right in. They did chest xrays and EKG and said his heart was fine, but his lungs were inflamed from a virus. Thankfully that was all!

About a week after that, I was at the police station filing a report on a neighbor from my gated community who threatened my son and his friend who were just knocking on doors looking for their lost drone. So happy those weeks are over!

I hope everyone's Saturday is going well!

Gosh, you have been having a rough time lately. Hopefully it’s all behind you now and things will be better from now on.

All sounds very stressful that.

Glad your son is OK but I know the panic all too well when your child is ill.

How did the Police take your report about the threat to your son?

Thank you! My son is a tough kid, so when he told me about the pain it was time to go.

As for the incident, because he threatened my son and his friend (ages 14 and 13) with bodily harm, it's considered a harassment charge. This guy has caused issues in that side of the neighborhood before. Myself and the other boy's Mom told them about the other incidents, whether they were reported before or not, who knows?

There was a witness who stepped in to help the boys that the detective might have spoken with. The police dept was hoping for some video footage, but I'm not sure if there were any cameras around there. After listening to what we said they took us in to the 2nd waiting room to fill out official statements. I haven't heard back from them.
