Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Evening everyone,

Went to Chester today for the Acoustica audio show.

5 rooms , 5 different systems. Cheapest was circa £40k and most expensive just over £150k.

Eye watering! Have to be honest. The sound was fantastic but all the music was digital and streamed ( as opposed to analogue/ vinyl. ) My system isn't cheap but nowhere near as expensive and in all honesty I preferred the warmth and realism of my own. Now I'm really interested in hifi equipment but even I was astonished not only how expensive the systems but how much interest there was in purchasing and judging by the guys there , cars in the car park etc these people weren't loaded. And they say times are tough!

All about priorities I guess.

Anyway I will follow Fred's guidance and me and Mrs J will watch a bit of Blondie with our daal.and Bombay potatoes.
That’s why I gave up going to shows Jazzy , I think mine ( Audio Note cd player , amplifier and speakers) and your Naim rig can’t be much further apart 😀 but we both love listening to music and that’s the whole point.

Hi everybody. I'm still seething about yesterday but also sad because of the absolute mess Moshiri has landed us in and the way such a great club has ended up. He's supposed to be an accountant for crying out loud.
I did overtime this morning. No gym today. I'm going out tomorrow afternoon with some of my workmates for bottomless brunch. So I'm either going to walk into Durham- 5 miles or go to the gym early tomorrow morning.
Son and gf are paying us a flying visit on Wednesday. They have booked a couple of days away up here - I think it might be the official proposal and engagement- and then it won't be a secret!🤣.
It's very gloomy here, the heating is on and Mr F is watching the racing.
Love the pics @blue1948 .
Have a good day everyone.
He's a corrupt Russian (Uzbek) oligarch's accountant, so abiding to financial rules probably hasn't been in his raison d'etre. Sadly, it's came back to bite us.

Anyway, even if we don't have the ten point deduction reduced, I still believe we will survive this year based on our squad, and now having fire in our belly.

My growing concern, however, is the A word - administration. As a business, we're pumping money into the stadium, and that will impact on our cash flow.

I'm not even thinking about that....yet. I do believe however that the PL will decide that 777 are not fit and proper owners and there you go. This is in spite of the bar being set so low by Newcastle's takeover.
The comment in the judgement about a fine being unsuitable for clubs with wealthy owners is laughable considering what the sanction for the breakaway 6 was. I'm also fairly sure that if the accounts of every PL team were scrutinised, every single one of them would have some creative accounting going on. It's what accountants do - like small businesses who employ them to minimise the amount of tax they pay. Not illegal but pushing boundaries.

Good morning all on this coldish day here in Finland .I hope all are well and had a good night . I got this photo off a lad we met as we were walking yesterday ,I would have posted my shot but it was worth the wait .It is a Capercaillie ,they normally don't get this far south and it was my first live encounter.Have a great day all COYB

If they do believe 777 aren't fit and proper owners, we're in a real mess as the club is apparently haemorrhaging due to Moshiri pulling away from the club.

While I do not advocate their ownership at all, I don't know what else we can currently do. But, on a positive, I suspect the ten points will be reduced on appeal.

I agree. I think this has everything to do with PL not wanting an independent regulatory body overseeing them. They are desperate to show they have their house in order - which we all know is a big fat lie. I agree we'll get the deduction reduced as well.

Exactly my thoughts Phil
