Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I done drama at school even went to London to for a audition at the youth theatre, Mrs DE still says I’m a drama queen,

Anyhow we done Scrooge one year and I played Bob Cratchet and needed a hat, we had a rabbit called Bobby, he died and without me knowing at the time, my dad made me a nice fur hat, it wasn’t till years later he told me the nice hat he made me for the play was Bobby our pet rabbit 🐇
Oh my that’s sad but funny and reminds me of when they told me my tortoise Topsy had gone to live with my cousins tortoise Slowcoach because they had a nice big garden, when in fact he’d walked up a plank and fallen head first into a bucket of paint that my dad had been using.

Evening all, hope all well. Work in the morning, decorating in the afternoon- rock and roll lifestyle 😂. Have a great time tonight @anjelikaferrett. Hope you’re on the mend @jazzy. Off to Chatsworth tomorrow so I’m excited about that. Ready to get festive now 🎄.
Not too bad thanks Val.

Did a gentle gym session and played ping pong last night.

Thought I was getting better until I played. I just couldn't catch my breath. Managed to get through it and win 2 out of 3 games but probably wasn't a great idea to play.

Good morning all on this fine day here in Finland .I hope all had a good night and @jazzy is a bit better .Have a great day all .
I have spent all morning since 6am searching for used tyres and wheels . I find when you start doing things like this you end up back where you started ,I found that Mondeo wheels are very similar to what I am looking for ,then Volvo ,then Peugeot and finally I realised that they were mostly too narrow and had to scrub my list !! Stay and Strong all .COYB
Thanks blue

I don't know how to react to that. There is no emoji! Again, horrifying but funny. Poor Topsy.

Morning all, loads of early risers today. We used to keep hens when I was a child and one was particularly tame, would perch on my arm and let me walk round the garden with her. It went quiet round the table when I announced Griselda missing - that was when I realised we had had chicken the previous Sunday. Although I didn’t completely give up meat until years later, I never ate chicken again.
Glad you are feeling a better @jazzy, take it easy, slow and steady wins the race as my Grandad would say but then he never competed in the 100m lol
Have a great time at Chatsworth @Val P , sure you will, hope you get some pics.
Good luck with the tyres and MOT @blue1948 and keep warm -10🥶
I’m impressed @anjelikaferrett put me to shame, all I’ve done is eat toast and word puzzles ,now off to chat with my friend, it’s a hard life!
Have a good day, all💙

Not only am I up, I've taken Mr F to work, I'm now in the gym and then I'm going to Tesco.

…was up at 05.45, Mrs Eggs and I went to my sons at 06.30. Son went off to work in Manchester, daughter-in-law had already left for her teaching job. Mrs Eggs took the youngest to nursery At 07.45, I cleaned the front of leaves and filled his green bin before taking Emily to school. Walked straight to my daughters to collect her dog because she’s getting her house carpeted. Walked down to mine with dog and bag of poop in hand.

Gets in & Mrs Eggs said ‘fancy a walk’. I declined, I needed a sit down and it’s only 09.15.

Oh no! A long time ago we lived in Nigeria for a couple of years. I was aged 5 ish. I started school there. My Dad got a job in Lagos port so off we went. It was very colonial - we had a cook, a house boy (shocking phrase) and a gardener. For quite a while there was a little black goat wandering around the place where we lived. I made friends with him , named him Billy ( very original!) and took him for walks with a piece of string tied round his neck. Billy inexplicably went missing one day. I was an adult when my Mum told me that Billy had been the main course to celebrate a religious festival the Nigerians had!

I’m sure it was for the best when our parents told us/didn’t tell us these things. Ought they not to have spoiled the memories though? I was very honest with my son about his pets - that said they all died peacefully and I might not have told him that Duncan his goldfish was flushed down the loo (after he died obvs) and of course they all went to heaven as they were kind and good goldfish/hamsters/budgies and our dog. After one of our dogs died my son was only about 4 or 5 and we flew to Rhodes on holiday. The air hostess asked him was he ok, and he said would she please ask the pilot to fly a bit higher so he could see Rosie, his dog, in heaven. We were all filling up 😢
