Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I was curious as to when I joined Messy’s thread , and was surprised to see it was September 2021, I honestly didn’t think it was that long ago, looks like quite a few have been posting on here since then, he certainly did leave a legacy for us all,

Sassy was a busy contributor also, I hope she is well and maybe back posting one day,

Time flies when you are having fun!

I was always enthralled by the giant redwoods down there.

The "jungle" garden at Heligan is what makes it standout for me. So many exotic plants too.
Forgot to tell you I've got a Coastal Redwood in the arboretum.

Planted it 2 years ago as an 18" whip. It's now 12 feet tall. The rapidity of its growth is insane.

Whilst the garden is hopefully big enough to carry it I may have made a mistake!

Saw some 10 year old specimens in an arboretum in Leicestershire and they were decent sized trees but not huge!

Actually that's exactly what you should do. I feel so much better after a wonderful stretch at the gym this morning that I'm deciding whether or not to plant a 6 ft Acer in 30 minutes now it's finally stopped raining.
Hmm, isn’t there something on TV instead and you can think about that potentially back breaking task tomorrow?
