Yes we are, I’m in the white jacket, hubby in blue coat and son next to him. It was a decent game but a sad result. The team looked knackered tbh and I’m not surprised. In other news although I complain about Goodison cheese and onion pies, they are gourmet compared to the one last night .

I said to Mr G last night I wondered if you were on there he said “That’s them”, just call him “Sherlock Holmes” lol

Good morning all. They let Chris out yesterday evening. He had no sleep the night before- not really surprising. All was going well but I could tell he was very tired and therefore quite emotional. Then we noticed blood on the bandage where his wound was. We kept an eye on it and there was definitely bleeding, the patch was getting bigger. So phone call to hospital, pictures of bloodstains sent and the on call surgeon rang is back. He said it could just be because he had moved about and wasn't that bothered. He gave Chris's gf his number and said feel free to message and send more pics. Last we heard he was fast asleep and snoring his head off!

Morning everyone ,

@anjelikaferrett thanks for the encouraging updates about Chris , fingers continued firmly crossed for a full and speedy recovery.

Well , yesterday was a busy old day. Weights and cardio session at the gym , a quick couple of hours in the garden and then a 4 hour table tennis session . Practiced really hard and sweated buckets in the first 3 hours and then help out coaching the beginers in the 2nd practice session. I had a 60 yr old lady who had never picked up a bat before and the progress she made in an hour was fantastic , I think she surprised herself and hopefully really enjoyed it and will return.

Dry again here today so after gym and stocking up on vino at Tesco ( 25% off ) i will cut some grass .

My turn to cook tonight and think I will do stuffed peppers as the weather is getting better.

Have a lovely day everyone

Morning all, after a beautiful Spring day yesterday it’s very misty here this morning. Sorry to see that your team lost @Val P, hope it was a good game
. @anjelikaferrett hope Chris is recovering well.
@blue1948 how on earth do they put alcohol in a tumble dryer? or am I being a bit dim (as usual ) and have completely missed the point.
It’s Wednesday so I’ m off to see my friend for our weekly nattering session after the school run. Have a good day, all💙
Still in the bottle ,it smooths the taste .

Thanks Blue and @Armaghtoffee . I have a backlog of books to read so haven’t bought it yet- I am confident it will find me when the time is right 🙂. As it’s the 100th anniversary of Eric Liddell’s famous win at the Paris Olympics in 1924 I’m expecting/ hoping for a few documentaries on him, an inspirational figure who deserved more than a vague last line on the screen of Chariots of “ Died in China in 1945”
