Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

lol …I was a toddler in the early ‘60s & when we were in the Mersey train tunnel, my dad used to say ‘now you’re under the river and if you look closely you can see the fish’. Like a fool I used to look. Mind you he also said; ‘Dixie Dean was so good in the air, he used to take penalties with his head’
My granddaughters were convinced they’d be able to see the fish from the Eurostar, they were very disappointed to find that it was dark inside the Channel Tunnel.

That explains a lot . :D

A piece in the finnish press about the Tesla model 3 :-

Germany's inspection authority, T-V, released its statistics for last year. There you will see the rejection rates of all car brands and models in different age groups. There is no inspection data on completely new cars, as the first inspection will not be available until 2-3 years of age.

This time, the survey officials give unusually fierce criticism of Tesla and specifically to Tesla's Model 3. The actual mass deliveries of the model, published in 2016, started in 2018 (in Finland 2019), so there are already plenty of Model 3 cars aged 5-6 years and younger in Europe, for which extensive inspection data is available.

And that data, according to survey officials, doesn't flatter the car model.

“In recent years, the world’s best-selling electric car has suffered huge rust problems even in almost new cars, stashing parts of the chassis, busts falling in rain and various other defects. Sometimes these were isolated cases, but the overall picture of T-V seems to be of lower quality than average, especially given the prices charged to cars, T-V states in its report.

Iltalehti published an extensive article presenting the inspection data of various car brands and models from Germany. The dataset is huge, based on a survey of 10.2 million in Germany between July 2022 and June 2023. Read the statistics here. The statistics show the terrible rejection rate of the Model 3, as it has remained a jumbo of its age group and been abandoned even more often than Dacia Logan from Romania, which is represented by a significantly lower price range of travel.

Tesla Model 3 has to be defense that now a barking car is not the same as the Model 3. After all, Tesla updated the car model last year and, based on test drives, the car has been changed to a much better than the previous one. Read IL test drive report on the new Model 3 here.

Interesting read. I think the principles behind electric cars are spot on, it’s the implementation of them that is certainly having some problems and exactly why I won’t be changing any time soon - it’s a case of watch and wait for me.

Morning all, off to Preston this morning for a work meeting, lazy afternoon and then son coming round for tea and to watch the game with us tonight. It will be interesting to see how we play now we have nothing to play for except pride and the few millions that a higher placement in the league will bring. It certainly helps the blood pressure.
Hope your son is doing well @anjelikaferrett, and hope @Barnfred 55 is ok and up to posting us his beverage of choice tonight.
Have a great Friday all 💙

Good morning all. After one summer- like day we are back to cold and miserable. Thank you again for your good wishes. Chris is doing OK. He is definitely happier at home, is bored lying in bed so is going to get up today and see how he gets on. I think the ulterior motive is that his PS5 is downstairs! As for me I won't be truly relaxed until the pathology results come back and all is well there. However I am a million times less stressed than I was and I'm hoping the teenage acne outbreak on my face is entirely stress related and will go away!
Hope you had a good birthday @TommyDavo.
As a child I was convinced that the Mersey tunnel sat on the river bed and I used to wonder what would happen if it leaked.
We've got no overtime this weekend so a lovely long Bank Holiday break. I will mostly be a) having a lie in b) in the gym and c) doing some gardening.
Have a great day all x
