Same for me. Went out at 10.45 and the midnight but saw nowt. Even took a photo of back sky to see if my eyes were deceiving me lol

I did the same, took multiple shots hoping for a flash of colour. The residual light from the church dashed my hopes at one point but not to be. What I did enjoy though was how many people I ended up chatting to around midnight as we were all prowling the town looking for our celestial fix

The Responder on BBC is well worth a watch. Set in Liverpool with plenty of Everton links throughout. Martin Freeman is absolutely superb in it.

It was a beautiful mild night and nice to be out to enjoy it. Unfortunately my body clock remained set for 5am.
