Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Thanks mate, I will try not too harp on about health all the time, even though most of my time is dictated to how my health is at any given moment, exhausting at times.
You are a gentleman and scholar for helping the old lady, one thing about our western culture that bothers me is how we ditch the old when they become 'troublesome' for want of a better word.

Saying that I hate my folks so meh lol
You're amongst friends here mate so if you're having a bad pain day you harp on about it all you want and you will be awash with cyber tea and sympathy with sideshows that includes recipes, holiday snaps, Glasgow kisses, drinks called orgasm, visits to the gym, walks on the beach, performing pets, to name but a few, what other thread on here gives you that variety?

Afternoon all,

Finished with work now until New Year, so looking forward to some family time at Christmas.

Been to M&S this morning to pick up a turkey crown and a few other bits and bobs. Don't know what it is about Christmas food shopping, but some people get a bit frantic and overwrought, whizzing around like they're on something. I just plod along at my own pace, chuckling to myself occasionally. There's probably someone posting on another forum about the madman who was chuckling to himself in M&S.

Hope you all have a good day.

Have a really nice festive break mate

Hello again. I have survived the PT at the gym. We did my least favourite thing today. Not that I have any favourites as such. He calls it a prowler. Its like pushing a sled with weights on it. I hate it because I feel ridiculous, head down, arse up "running" while pushing this thing! It's a far from pretty sight. Overweight female of mature years breathing like a hippo on heat and resisting the urge to stab the PT for making me do it. On the positive side once I've finished the session, I do feel quite proud of myself.
The prowler is great for your quads and core.

Glad you "enjoyed " it Anj. lol

Keep up.the good work.

Morning all, hope everyone is well. Congratulations on surviving the gym Anj. Welcome @Terrarian. Hope you will find you are amongst friends. I had an experience yesterday, which for once in my life, left me lost for words. We have lived next door but one to our neighbour for over forty years. Over the years she and her late husband became honorary “uncle and auntie “ to our children and lately grandchildren. Although her grandson visits and shops for her the rest of the family can’t or won’t help so we do what we can for her. We enjoy helping her out so it’s not a chore. She‘s 86 and has recently had various health issues which have caused her to as she put it “sort out some things”. She gave me her ruby and diamond ring to remember her by, I was overwhelmed and so wanted to hug and kiss her but of course I couldn’t. Bless you, Blanche and I hope you are with us for a long while yet.
That is so lovely. Kindness costs nothing and sometimes you don't realise how much it is appreciated. What a touching gesture by your neighbour - she must love you and your family very much. And from what I know of you on here I can fully understand why. You're good people @Gwladysover x
