Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

A busy few days for me including doing some voluntary work in Inverness, Friday and Saturday and some more locally yesterday . My running plan was to do a 10 mile run today but I cut it down to 6 miles and needed full , head to toe rain gear to survive the wind and rain, I haven’t been so wet for a long time!. I’ve still to watch Saturday ‘s game , but seen our goal and , while not knowing just how it will go in the coming years , I feel great relief at the TFG news!

Just got a call from another mates daughter, he’s the one who had a tracheotomy and also has cancer. He’s gone downhill fast, his body is switching off and has been given just weeks to live. He will shortly be going into LOROS for end of life care. This unremitting situation with my closest friends is eating away at me I’m afraid. This will probably be the fourth loss and funeral of close friends in this year alone…….

The sad thing as we get older is the happening of our friends passing .Stay strong @peteblue there is much for you to do and you will always have their memories .Easy words but true .My thoughts are with you as always .

Hope Mr G is feeling better soon
Thank you. Dentist couldn’t see him, too busy. Told to go home and await a call from receptionist who would ring with advice when she was able to consult dentist. He was told nothing too worry about despite bleeding for England, had to go back for gauze swabs and told to clamp down on them until it stopped, Finally stopped about an hour ago, 🤞.

So sorry to hear you will be experiencing the loss of another friend in the near future. You were fortunate to have found such a good friend and I hope that memories of the happy times you shared will be a comfort.💙

Jeez Pete , just don't know what to say. I guess at our respective ages this is something that we all have to deal with. Very sad.

Sad day for me today, but getting through it the only way I know, partaking in Cal's favourite tipples (G&T and fillet steak) and remembering the good times. Cheers everyone.

Oh Fred, it’s the anniversary of Cal’s passing. Sorry I hadn’t realised the date. Hope you are finding comfort in your memories of the happy times. Thinking of you.💙

Morning all, been up most of the night. Mr G. had a tooth out last Thursday and all was well until it started bleeding just after midnight. He’s on blood thinners so every time he managed to stop it the bleeding started again about twenty minutes later. So it’s off to the dentist for him as soon as they open and we’ve got the grandkids off to school.
Have a good day, all.💙
Hope he gets sorted

I am very disappointed in myself for not remembering this day and what it means to you @Barnfred 55 ,I know she is looking down on you with a smile thinking how lucky she was to have met you .The dedication you show to Cal and her memories is brilliant ,something we all admire on here .
By your post I can see you are stronger than last year but the memory hasn't faded a jot and in some way that is what love is all about .Be strong mate she has your back .

Good morning all on this autumnal day here ,it is raining leaves ,the trees are changing colour ,lots of birds have flown south and the temerature is on the decline -Oh I love the seasons .
I hope all are well and had a good sleep and that Mr G finally gets treated ,I am thinking of you @peteblue and hoping your times get easier .Have a great day all.COYB
