Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hello all. I did overtime this morning and had a referral about a pervy Santa! How festive.
I've spent the rest of the day doing very little. I'm even thinking about having a drink- a proper one.
It's blowing a gale today . No rain but freezing.
I'm trying to decide whether or not to go to a rugby match on Boxing Day. Yes, you read that right. It's an annual charity event in aid of TeamLuke Foundation. A charity set up by my friend and her family to honour the memory of her 8 year old grandson who passed away on 23 December 2018 from neuroblastoma. They do amazing things- check out their website. Luke's Daddy plays for Darlington Mowden Park and they play a team called North East Barbarians - basically anyone from other clubs in the area. I think I'll wait to see what the weather is like.
Enjoy your day - I wonder if the change of ownership will lift the gloom from Everton and they give Chelsea a run for their money. We can but hope!

I'm so sorry to hear this Fred. Immunotherapy is very much the new kid on the block with cancer treatment. There isn't much data about it compared to other treatments but good things are being said. Fingers crossed for your friend x
Yeah. Lap of the Gods. Her words not mine. She's in her 70s but still very active, and lives for her grandchildren. She's certainly not ready to call it a day and that fighting attitude will certainly help. She sounds like she's gotten through the tearful stage.

Sorry to hear the news about your friend @Barnfred 55 . Fingers crossed her therapy is as successful as possible.

@anjelikaferrett wins the award for “Funniest Workplace Situation of the Week” for sure! Keep us posted about Horny Santa…

Not long since got home after struggling through Sonic 3 with the lads (they loved it, so mission accomplished) so I am MORE than ready for a grown-up drink now. Boxing on the TV so we’re all set.

Is the Tyson Fury fight an actual contest or moreso just a money making thing? Boxing now seems like occasional attraction events with past greats or celebrities rather than fighters making their way up the ladder.

The strength people show in situations like that is very inspiring. Fortitude you can only hope to have yourself.

Definitely a contest mate. A true pick-em fight. You’re not wrong, though, there’s a lot going on recently that undermines the sport.

Anyway, cheers folks!

Spoke with a woman from the Council this morning about arranging the care package and we agreed that I could provide the care until the care company shows up. Spoke to the nurse on the ward and passed on her comments, I think the nurse half knew anyway as the council lady had been in to see my wife this morning, of course Kay was asleep. Anyway the upshot is that I should be able to take Kay home on Sunday early afternoon, I’m pleased to say…
Wonderful news

A new owner bounce - I love it.

Rugby .....hmmm I'd give it a body swerve and just make a donation.

After all you'll be pissed after watching Everton best City at lunchtime 😂

Morning everyone,

Well after the excess of Friday I only had a wee drink last evening whilst we started to get into the Christmas spirit and watched Elf .

I wanted to watch Muppets Christmas Carol but Mrs J just gave me that look and discretion being the getter part of valour and all that.

Anyway it was fun and enable me to wake bright eyed and bushy tailed today and given that Joey has already let the cat out of the bag I can confirm that it's my birthday. Yep it's the one that Paul sung about on Sgt Pepper and seeing as "we shall scrimp and save " we can afford to go out for dinner later but not before I've had a nice glass of Cloudy Bay whilst listening to Everton picking up 3 points today ....am I still dreaming?

Anyway have a lovely day everyone.

I recommend Red One as a new Christmas movie to help you build the festive spirit.

Happy Birthday mate and here’s to a hard fought 0-0 win for Everton later 😀
