Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning everyone,

Thanks to @Gwladysover and @Val P for their kind wishes. I'm truly amazed at Gs memory.

36 years ago tomorrow we got hitched and then went to Rhodes for our honeymoon . When I think back on that day with fond memories I wonder where on earth all the years have gone.

It was genuinely a lovely day . We deliberately only had a very small wedding with just close family invited ( we didn't have much money and wanted to spend what little we had on a honeymoon!) and had a really nice meal in a local pub and went straight to the airport afterwards.

Pretty much replicate that with a simple meal in our local Italian tomorrow.

Have a lovely day everyone.

Happy anniversary to you both

Don’t talk to me about pouring a proper pint of Guinness, the Canadian (not all of them) bar staff have never been shown how to pour a Guinness

My local pub here is called Limerick’s and lucky enough we have a couple of guys from Ireland, I always find out when at least one of them are working the bar before I go in , they are now showing their fellow bar tenders how it should be done

Morning all, just sitting watching the sunrise - well I would if the houses weren’t in the way - but you get the gist. Lovely clear sky so far. @jazzy and Mrs J. enjoy your day and hope you are feeling better @peteblue. Off to Iceland later ( the shop not the country) Tuesday is discount day for the over 60’s. every little helps!
Have a good all.💙
Never knew that about Iceland. Mum loves their stir Fry's and pies , will have to make Tuesdays Reykjavik day.

Isn't "every little helps " Tesco's slogan ?

Morning all. Just waiting for men to arrive to start work on the bathroom. Never knew that about Iceland @Gwladysover. Nothing much on apart from making brews and bacon butties. As my wings are clipped I’ve started knitting a Christmas pudding hat and bootees. How my life has changed (for the better obvs). Got an email this morning saying I’d won a prize on the set for life lottery- I don’t know why I do this one as 30 years of income is a bit optimistic for me at my age - anyway predictably it was £5, and not even for life just a one off.
Hope you all have a lovely Tuesday 💙
