Chris had a bit of a setback today. His treatment has been paused ( it was due on Tuesday) because he is experiencing side effects which are something like prickly heat - mad itchy and a red rash. While he was having his blood tests today to check everything was OK for Tuesday the rash erupted. They have given him steroids and super strong antihistamines. They are going to see what he's like in a week. I'm not too worried because as far as his surgeon is concerned he is cancer free but this treatment was a protective measure to prevent it recurring. Hopefully it will all settle down and he can continue as planned.

Evening everyone. Anj I hope things work out for Chris - might there be an alternative he could try? Jazzy I hope you are feeling better soon - what rotten timing.
Busy day here today, on site work today and a tough one at that. Bathroom finished and now I can go and get towels and bits which is exciting. Best news is that my son has got a promotion to cover a colleague’s mat leave which is two grades higher than what he is currently so I am mega proud. - his year just keeps getting better. I found out in Sainsbury’s on the way home and burst into tears of happiness which was a bit embarrassing to say the least. So I’m sat trying to empty my head and chill with a nice bottle of kolsch beer which I discovered last year in Cologne.

Well unfortunately my cold ( or perhaps worse ) that I brought back from Rhodes has worsened .

I am due to go to a concert at the Phil tonight but don't have the energy and beyond that hardly fair on other theatre goers for me to sniffle and cough the whole way through let alone infect everyone sat near me.

Bit miffed as it ruined the holiday and I was really looking forward to this gig.

Ah well c'est la vie.
