Morning everyone

For the first time in about a week I can breathe reasonably properly and haven't blown my nose in an hour!

Still feel knackered but at least I am contemplating getting out of bed and making my usual morning cup of tea for Mrs J.

So , might actually get up today although looking at the weather forecast I might regret it.

Much needed 3 points yesterday. At the risk of incurring the wrath of @anjelikaferrett how bloody frustrating is Dom?

Leads the line really well but misses 3 1 on 1 chances which should have put us out of sight.

Aw well , I think it's a day of tea and biscuits today - not healthy I know but sometimes that just goes out the window.

Morning all on this autumnal day here .A belated happy anniversary to @anjelikaferrett and Mr F I am sure you didn't make a show of your daughter .A good win yesterday all things considered ,three points is what we need .
I bet Melody Gardot sounds wonderful on your system @jazzy ,the type of music to make it shine .I have heard very few top class systems but of the ones I have pieces with individual instruments have always pleased my ear more than heavier cacophony for want of a better word. I am typing listening to her and it is really moody music ,love it .

Yes blue to be honest she does show my system off to its best.

If you get the chance listen to the opening track from her album Worrisome Heart , it's my go to track when demoing a new piece of equipment especially speakers.

It opens with a single sonorous piano , then her husky vulnerable voice and then a beautiful muted trumpet solo.

It’s a strange one as right now there are blue skies and barely a hint of a breeze. The wind and rain woke me around 4am and there is a little flooding around but not much. Apparently the winds will hit us later again but no signs of it yet anyway.

Wind and rain absolutely battering us here.

Still blue skies here but wind gradually rising. The Armagh football finals are on this afternoon and I’m hoping it doesn’t disrupt it too much.

The councils have closed the parks though, presumably for fear of falling branches.

Good afternoon all. It's wild and windy here. Storm Ashley seems to have arrived. We vaguely contemplated going to Sedgefield races today - it's about 9 miles away. I'm so glad we didn't!
A good win yesterday- we'd be flying if we hadn't blown those two nil leads! I reack9j that it is reasonable to think we could win our next four before the absolute nightmare of December fixtures.

Last night was lovely- the food was gorgeous. It was proper fine dining. I had brown crab curry followed by spiced glazed duck breast. We were very well behaved and met most of the staff once they found out we were Charlotte's Mum and Dad. She's the wedding and events supervisor but works in the bar and restaurant when she's got no event to supervise! She's working Christmas Day - 170 booked in for Christmas Dinner.

I spoke too soon regarding the weather. During the first of two matches, a scaffolding structure was blown down on the empty terrace behind a goal. Such a noise it made! Decision was made to complete that match but call off the Senior Final.

The roof of the main stand actually moved a couple of times in particularly strong gusts. And the bad news! The game has been refixtured for next Saturday at the same time as the Everton match

Hejira is a wonderful album , in a nice coincidence both Mrs bl and I regarded it as one of our favourite albums long before we met and if occasionally comes up in our conversations.
