Really hope you can find a way to deal with your stress, we spend so much time in our lives at work. But you’re right life is too short and I hope you have enjoyed your weekend so far.Another Saturday and another three points to look forward to later.
I will be at the Armagh football final (Clan na Gael v Clann Eireann) at 6pm then straight home to watch the recording of the Everton game. After a rough week, just work not personal, I definitely feel the need for a nice lunch and a few drinks pre game. First time in a very long time I have felt sick with stress and I ended up angry at myself for allowing it to happen. It has all washed over me now with the reset button pushed to remind me that life is too short.
Hope you’re feeling better soon but I can’t imagine that performance yesterday left anyone with a smile on their face.Hi mate. I didn't have a G&T Friday this week. Feeling a bit under the weather and also my back has been playing up for the last few days. Hopefully a good result for the Blues will help put a smile back on my face.
I have left the stress behind me now. It’s just that the work was of a very difficult nature (emotionally) and I began to see the individual rather than just the task at hand. Some people have very difficult lives and it was a reminder to me to be more appreciative of my own.Really hope you can find a way to deal with your stress, we spend so much time in our lives at work. Well if you haven't watched the Everton match yet don't bother AT because that will make you stressed again.I have left the stress behind me now. Dunno what it is AT but it looks restaurant standardView attachment 279166
I’m good to myself
Agreed AT. Used to play a lot of golf a few years ago ( mostly to entertain clients) and I found golf clubs to be elitist, unwelcoming souless placesI always find golf clubhouses a bit pretentious. Food is generally good though.
I watched the Everton game as soon as I got in yesterday evening. Abysmal isn’t the word for it.Well if you haven't watched the Everton match yet don't bother AT because that will make you stressed again.
I'm actually lost for words at how bad and how lucky we were last night. It is disgusting to see an Everton side set up like that at home to a team like Fulham. I'd hoped that Dyche would remain to the end of his contract and then slink off never to be seen again but I'm sorry enough is enough, he is killing the club and had to go as soon as TFG take over.
Rant over!
A lovely day today and I think I've just about got enough energy to start the great leaf collection 2024.
Will property watch the Arse v RS later in the vain hope that they can derail the Slotmeister.
Anyway have a lovely day everyone.
Perfect description of them. I detected a lot of people having a need to be seen there rather than it be a place you go for a drink to relax.Agreed AT. Used to play a lot of golf a few years ago ( mostly to entertain clients) and I found golf clubs to be elitist, unwelcoming souless places
It was restaurant made, I cannot claim credit. Scallop and chorizo risotto. It was superb fare for standing out at a wintery nights football.Dunno what it is AT but it looks restaurant standard
Thanks mate but I'm not too sure about me inspiring the girls.Get well soon Fred ,we need your sense of humour on here and you inspire the girls to let their hair down .
Very kind to think of me Anj. I’m good thanks, feel a bit vulnerable but it happens. I won’t forget this week, a bit of closure for but tough. I’m just finding it hard as I got to know the family well and being a Dad my head went to a personal space and that can’t happen in my world. Sit down with your cornflakes and leaf through the newspaper and your work is there in print and boom your day starts while still in your Keijan top and grey trackiesHi folks. I'm in Nottingham. The itching has returned and Chris is really struggling both physically and mentally. His wife messaged me and asked if one or both of us could come because she thought it might cheer him up. He's got an emergency appointment at the hospital tomorrow to see if there is anything more they can offer him. He's due to see his oncologist on Wednesday. There could be some hard conversations about the immunotherapy- do they carry on, change it, pause it for a while to get the side effects under control. We'll just have to wait and see. Whoever said you are only as happy as your unhappiest child has got it absolutely right!
Sorry to hear you had a tough day @Armaghtoffee . I hope you are feeling better. You are also right - some people have very difficult lives. I count my blessings on a daily basis.
Enjoy your evening everyone x
