Morning all
Reading through the threads this morning and thinking good thoughts for Chris
All my medical stuff is done for now and whilst my return ticket is Saturday if just changed it to tomorrow.. I need the warmth of Spain and my friends there
All well I hope for you, and yes the warmth of Spain and the company of friends sounds like a very good reason to change your plans. Safe journey back.

Good morning all. Things are much happier here right now. Chris's itching/rash is called cholinergic urticaria. It sounds like an upmarket version of nettle rash. It can be caused by an over reaction of the immune system- which actually might be good because the whole point of immunotherapy is that it ramps up the immune system to fight any cancer cells.
We are currently watching Welcome to Wrexham on Netflix. I have never heard anybody swear as much as the Wrexham manager- and I'm not averse to dropping the odd F bomb🤣.
Mr F"s birthday on Sunday. I'm thinking tickets for a future decent race meeting will be a suitable present. He also wants to go to the seaside for the day.....in November!

Busy week this week, mate still in hospital so visits on the cards, I’m doing the pub Bingo today then preparing the pub fireworks display Wednesday and Thursday before actually doing it on Saturday. Then Sunday it’s clearing up the ground of burnt wood and picking up about 6,000 nails from the burnt pallets from the bonfire. This all of course has to be done after my wife is looked after. I now also teach maths to a young year five lad every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon to build up his confidence and maths competence. Oh for the days when I used to just travel the world, reviewing company projects, giving MD’s and Project Directors a good kicking and getting paid a small fortune for doing so. This unpaid stuff I do now will be the death of me… 😂 …but it keeps me going I suppose…..have a good day all

That’s good news about Chris anj. Was that a typo re W to Wrexham , it’s on Disney+ , unless Netflix have bought it off them to show as well ?. For me it’s a wonderful series, the first episodes were quite poignant , my dad was a miner and there are so many scenes and stories of when I was growing up in the area.

It’s been a fine afternoon up here, no wind, hints of sunshine and about 14 deg. A final mowing of the lawn , potter around the garden and a cutting down of my Everlasting Sweet Peas. They are in three sets, junior about 18 months old, snaking through the apple tree and about 4 feet high , flowering for the first time this year. Middle is about 5 years old, spread over 8 feet in length and 5 feet in height. Senior about 10 years old, growing up through the Buddleia to around 10 foot high. Even with cutting them up small they filled my garden bin , making their own contribution to reducing climate change in the summer!

Oh that's such good news Anj. I hope you and Chris are reassured

Evening everyone,

So for the first time in 4 weeks I tentatively returned to some physical activity.

Did a yoga session in the gym. Well thought I might have lost a bit of flexibility but it's the first time I've ever been blowing for tugs in a yoga session 😂.

Anyway I have a table tennis match tomorrow night ( can't get out of it ) so did an hour's gentle practice this afternoon.

Bear in mind my practice is usually for 3 hours and I really limited my movements but despite that I've never sweated so much in my life but I feel a lot better having actually done something ( even though I played crap ).

Hopefully the worst of this bloody virus is in the past.

Anyway my turn to cook tonight and I fancy something really basic so it's sausage , egg and chips - nice comfort food.

Have a lovely evening everyone.
