Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

No @Barnfred 55 with his Friday G&T last night..... everything ok Fred?

Good luck to AT with his "other" team but better luck to Everton for another 3 points tonight.

At last I woke up able to take a full breath without coughing ( well almost !) so hopefully the recovery is gaining strength. Just as well as the garden is already littered in leaves and needs a lot of work to tidy up - that's what you get for planting loads of trees and having mature trees on the perimeter of your garden.

Looks like a lovely day weather wise so fingers crossed for a good outcome at Goodison.

I am a neutral today just out to enjoy a good final. Some serious talent on display and it should be a great spectacle.

I’m surprised there are any leaves left on trees after last Sunday’s wind. I have a small mountain of them at my gates that I really must turn the leaf blower onto.

Another Saturday and another three points to look forward to later.

I will be at the Armagh football final (Clan na Gael v Clann Eireann) at 6pm then straight home to watch the recording of the Everton game. After a rough week, just work not personal, I definitely feel the need for a nice lunch and a few drinks pre game. First time in a very long time I have felt sick with stress and I ended up angry at myself for allowing it to happen. It has all washed over me now with the reset button pushed to remind me that life is too short.
Have a great weekend and leave the cares of the week behind.

Good to hear you are on the mend. Our garden is littered with leaves not because we have trees, it’s too small, but because the council planted extra trees in an already tree-lined street. The council don’t clear the leaves any more, well not our part of town it’s not posh enough, so the gutters are clogged and pavements slippery with wet compacted leaves which will still be there next year plus we get a garden full of leaves every Autumn and the added bonus of hundreds of sycamore seedlings in the Spring. Rant over.

Sycamore seedlings are the bain of my gardening life

Hi mate. I didn't have a G&T Friday this week. Feeling a bit under the weather and also my back has been playing up for the last few days. Hopefully a good result for the Blues will help put a smile back on my face.

I haven't seen any here trees that is ,I wonder if they are not hardy enough . We have an unusual oak in our garden it is short and multi stemmed ,I would send an acorn or two but it has none so must be the male .View attachment 279107
Has your oak undergone a form of natural , low level pollarding where the main stem has somehow not developed?
