Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this snowy white morning here .I hope all are well and had a great sleep with a fantastic day to follow . We had a multitude of accidents on our road to town ,three times the electric was down and we are off to visit MrsB's parents grave which is about 60 miles away to lay some fir twigs and candles . Our road to town seems innocuous but in fact the camber is wrong on a few bends and it shows in the snow . I just hope the power cuts and the accidents were not related .
Have a great day all COYB

Morning everyone. Missing watching the blues today to go and watch Charnock Richard fc play Stockport Town. We are taking some friends who are Wolves fans, and do actually go to see them, so I hope they have a good time. Got to be better than watching Wolves at the moment. Then it’s back to ours for curry and son, d-i-l and granddaughter are joining us.
Contacted by my GP surgery yesterday to say my annual review has been changed from an appointment with a healthcare assistant to a practice nurse- that sounds ominous and probably diet and exercise might be featuring heavily in my immediate future.
Looking forward to a lovely day, and I hope you all have one too 💙

Morning everyone,

Me and Mrs J went into town last night.

Got there at 6pm.and it was heaving with tourists, quite incredible.

Had a great pizza at Rudy's at the top of Bold St before going to the Philharmonic Music Room to see an evening without Kate Bush. A friend booked this for me a huge KB fan as an early birthday present but then couldn't go.

It was shockingly bad and we left at half time, the first time I've ever left a gig early.

It was actually more a comedic piss take with audience participation and a few Kate songs thrown in.

Anyway we got the earlier train which again was chocker.

Not to worry! Off to the Acoustica Audio Show in Chester today but got to get back handy for SiL birthday party ( 70 today ).

Have a lovely day everyone.

Thank you. It looks like we will have to wait til 10th Feb to get our seats together, I just hope if we wait we do get them together- I’m trying to find a question and answer link or similar to answer the questions I have. Thing is when me and husband snuff it I don’t want my son to be on his own, he should be with other younger family members so to do that we have to wait.
You've gotta love a bit of succession planning !

Everton should try it but maybe not with a view to 30 years in the future!

Enjoy the game and your “curry and cuddles” evening sounds like a perfect day.

Acoustica sent me a leaflet about the show but they don’t really cater for people like me with valves all over the place. Have a good day, I’m off to Bradford City v Aldershot in the cup.

Safe journey. Sounds like the roads could be tricky.

You seem like a man who knew his Blue Nun, from his Piesporter from his Nierstein from his Kabinnet. I nearly also said Liebfraumilch but didn't want to insult you. (Think they're all Rieslings anyway)

I have a feeling all people of our age went through their German wine phase before we discovered proper wine.
You forgot Lambrusco!🤣

Cheers! JD and coke for me tonight - another newly acquired taste. Watching a brilliant music programme we taped off the 70s channel- Pauline Black’s Ska and Reggae Legends - Desmond Dekker, Dandy Livingstone and The Pioneers so far. Brilliant- really takes me back
I have some fond memories of nights out on JD & C. Well, the bits I can remember anyway.😀

Good morning all. You all sound like you had a nice Friday night. I went to Tesco (packed - day after pay day) as the highlight of my evening 🤣. I also did a bit of online shopping and bought a new chest freezer. I'm very excited- the one it is replacing is older than my children! No overtime this weekend so a very chilled time is being had - that will probably last until Everton kick off.
Have a good day x
