Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good morning all on this black morning outside .I hope all are well and had a good night . I thought we were OK in the first half but that could be because of the rubbish we have been served up recently ,as @bigjonny says when wee look back it is sad to see how far we have fallen ,I think that Friedkin and son are a serious attempt to get out of it and brighter times are on the way .
Have a great day COYB

Morning everyone,

Bloody hell that was dull and boring yesterday. When will we see some light at the end of the Everton tunnel?

Anyway it's a lazy Sunday today with Mrs J getting ready to jet off with sister to celebrate her ( sister's) birthday.

3 night break in Portugal, alright for some whilst I have to look after granny and all the animals.

There was a school reunion last night and obviously I didn't make the 600 mile round trip to go but looking at the photos posted it's just as well that they all had name tags because genuinely there wasn't one that I recognised.

Where have all those years gone?

Have a lovely day everyone.

Good evening all. Did overtime this morning and then we went to visit our friend who had sepsis from an insect bite He hot in India. He's still in hospital but recovering- it's going to be a long road. He's been very lucky a) that he didn't die and b) that he still has two legs. He showed me his leg, it isn't pretty. It looked like one of those Spanish cured hams that you see hanging up in their butchers. Absolutely grim! He is waiting for a date for plastic surgery which will be some time next week.
Other than that, no news. I haven't heard from Charlotte so I'm assuming the meet the folks is going well.
Glad your son and daughter in law are feeling better @Val P
Have a good night all x

Good to hear that your friend is recovering- sounds horrendous.
Hope Charlotte’s visit is going well.

Currently recovering from the sleepover and looking forward to Wolf Hall which starts tonight but clashes with Mortimer and Whitehouse: Gone Fishing. Thank Goodness for iPlayer!
Did you watch the first series of Wolf Hall - I was looking forward to watching this tonight but realised it’s series 2. I just wondered if I ought to watch the first series before this one x

Good morning guys. I hope you all have an enjoyable day. I shall be tackling the picking up of nails from the bonfire with my new wheelie magnet, but on my own unfortunately as my eldest was only paying a flying visit and will be headed back to Saudi in a few hours. I’ve really enjoyed the couple of days he was back in the U.K. at home, but as always work comes first…….

One of the joys of getting older is that you can rewatch and think it is the first time even though you recognise it all the way through !

I use an old speaker to pick nails up .I showed it to an old guy who made a BBQ from an old dishwasher and he showed me his it was and an old mower from the 1800's with a row of magets dangling and picked up ten times better than mine . With bowed head I reteated facing him ,to turn after six steps and leave the room.

Morning all on this clear skied dawn .I hope all slept like babies and rise with the same cares . Off to the shops for tea bags ,panic sets in when they get low ,the Finns drink more coffee per capita than anywhere else , my wife was the same ,I am pleased to announce that she is now a bona fide tea tank .
I am awaiting the delivery of a new streaming box the last one gave up the ghost without warning luckily I can use the tv instead it just uses all the memory which starts it misbehaving .
Have a great day all COYB
