Good day all ,you have no idea how stressful it can be as an ex-pat .Spurred on by my love for the blues I decided to find a better way to watch them in Finland as the local "sky" purveyors had a habit of showing our Saturday match on Tuesday morning and yes I was still working then .So I asked mr google how can I escape this torture and he gave me an answer ,to stream ,which I have been able to do since ,obviously such grey areas never run smooth which culminated yesterday and this morning in me having to renew my subscription .For those who don't follow this is a small payment to a person the other side of the world and some details to enter into the world of said streaming ,by now I am quite adept at it ,well until yesterday when as said details were sent to me and entered. Our whole viewing regime collapsed in tatters as I tried time and again to set this up properly .
Yes I am an elderly person but having done this innumerable times I feel confident that I can follow, so after many times double checking and feeling the guilt of contacting this young lad ( who has the patience of a saint) yet again I realised it was the only way out .
To find the next message from him which said " I am sorry it was my fault as I forgot to install the channels " to which my reply was ..........Well we are all human ! This reply is solely down to me posting on here and the inner peace have gained from it .In the old days I would have not been quite so nice ,saying that I might have been more savvy with the current tech.
See it is better if I post early as I have less to say ! COYB

I'm having an ongoing row with Tui about our holiday compensation. After waiting patiently for two months because my previous two phone calls told me that they had 56 days to look into it, I phoned them yesterday. This time they told me they had no record of me and Mr F being on the delayed flight. This is in spite of them having our holiday booking reference and the flight numbers. My polite enquiry of how do you think we got home - walked, was met with, there's no need to be like that. Anyway I've had to resubmit my claim.

No plans today. I've just watched last night's Bake Off.

Re TUI . This time last year I was getting similar hassle from KLM for a legitimate claim that they were stalling on . I fell back on my last resort , looking up the email addresses of four or five senior directors and sending them a polite email saying “ I know you are busy but I need your help, can you pass this on to someone who can resolve this.? “ It ended up with a cautiously firm woman who admitted nothing but got it fixed.
I’m no good at skim reading , my first glance told me that you’d dropped Mr F at work which you suspected was a gay meeting up place 😉
 
Hello all. To my surprise an email appeared in my inboc this afternoon - a grovelling apology from Yui, a secure link to give them my bank details and a promise that the matter would be resolved within 14 days. I feel quite proud of myself.
I've spent most of the day tracking down my Irish relatives as I intend to apply for an Irish passport. My British one runs out in August next year. I think I've got all the information I need, now to apply for the birth/death/marriage certificates and then the actual passport. I'm quite excited at the prospect of being in the EU again.

It isn't illegal for me to watch as the streams are sent in "packages" that are shorter than a film trailer therefore not against the law . As I only watch free to air stuff .
