Ditto, maybe the sherry is too strong for her…..
My Dad used to say a wine gum and a glass of water would do it.Ditto, maybe the sherry is too strong for her…..
We've sat down and had our Turkish takeaway for our tea, now having a few glasses of champagne with my wife and the eldest two.Home Alone on just before Father Ted so I am sorted. Santa sacks filled, all bellies filled too and I can now crack open another beer and chill. I hope all of your evenings are as peaceful.
Our ‘midnight’ Mass is already over at the closest church, the next one on being at 9pm. Always still known as midnight Mass though. Early one in the morning for me and back in the house for 9am is just the ticket. We've sat down and had our Turkish takeaway for our tea, now having a few glasses of champagne with my wife and the eldest two.
The youngest will go to bed soon, and after that it's time to get ready for the morning, finish some pre-cooking while watching the TV before midnight mass.
All the best everyone, and peace and goodwill to each and all.
Ours starts at 11.30pm, and we should be back home for 12.30pm ish. I rarely go on Christmas day itself any more (often with work), so I make sure I go tonight. Our ‘midnight’ Mass is already over at the closest church, the next one on being at 9pm. Enjoy the rest of your evening, peace to you and family.
My kids target the early Mass as it has less singing than the ‘Midnight’ one or the later Christmas Day oneOurs starts at 11.30pm, and we should be back home for 12.30pm ish. I rarely go on Christmas day itself any more (often with work), so I make sure I go tonight.
We had a service before at 6pm and church was full - easily 250+ people - and I'd expect about 50 people tonight based on previous years.
Just for you ,I forgot to mention that for many years it wasn't Christmas until I have watched Jason and the Argonauts- the Ray Harryhausen stop go animation one. Mostly because we always watched it as kids.It always seemed to be on on Boxing Day. I've trawled through all the schedules and can't find it this year.
Jeremy Clarkson’s farm?Well it’s coming to the end of a busy day for me that included running up and down hills for an hour with about 20 others of our running club on a day so balmy I actually wore shorts in December! Then a quick exchange of cards and one present each between Mrs bl and me, followed by some outdoor planning for a Buckie tradition on 1st January the “ Sair Heidie” run , which I somehow got entrusted / inveigled into being the organiser 5 or 6 years ago.
Tonight we’re just chilling and I opened one of the “ presents” ( bottles of beer/ cider from Clarkson’s Farm) and enjoying a cider with Mrs bl worried that her posh champagne glass full will get her blazing ! Into the chocolates next!
Have a Merry Christmas everybody . Peace.
Just for you ,
