Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Good afternoon lovely people!

It is 2022 and the sun is shining here in Asheville, another day that feels like spring instead of winter. I’m feeling a bit rough this morning after my orgasmic experience but we had a great time with the hubby last night. He, like me, enjoys dancing so we played music (too loud for my daughter’s liking) and shook our bodies until the early morning hours while having many cocktails and raising our glasses in honour of several people. Today is going to be a lazy day for me. I’m supposed to get back to work on Monday after almost a month off so I’m just going to make the most of my last two days off by no doing much. December was a great month, with lots of adventures and celebrations but it has been a busy one so staying home feels wonderful.

I am definitely looking forward to watching Everton’s match tomorrow. It feels like it has been forever since we saw them last playing. I’m eager to see DCL playing again for us and also our new signing Vitaliy!

Cheers for a better 2022 for everyone here and may our Blues give us some happiness too ?
Not sure the new left back has been signed in time to play Sassy.

Fingers crossed if DCL plays that he hasn't been rushed back too soon.

You know I said that I'm a kinder person after joining this thread and that I think twice before upsetting anyone - does that apply to Benitez ???

Very nice of you to ask Gwladysover. Mrs M has deteriorated since being released from hospital. Fortunately, she has an appointment on Tuesday to see the chest specialist at King Edward Hospital in Windsor. So hoping that they can reverse the deterioration. My situation ie 'a miserable old git' is unchanged. lol
Hope Mrs M improves after seeing the specialist.

Evening friends. I’m still recovering from last night’s new year’s celebration. I’m not the kind of person that naps, but today I have definitely embraced my laziness by taking an afternoon snooze. I’m now warming up some leftovers and probably watch a movie with the family later tonight.

I just noticed that West Ham beat Palace. Moyes and his team are performing very well this season. Seeing us near the bottom of the table feels a bit discouraging but at least we are a few matches behind so hopefully we can improve our standings the next few matches. How is everyone feeling about tomorrow’s match? We should be able to beat Brighton or is this one of those matches that could get tricky?

Sending Mrs. M a get well message, hopefully the specialist will be able to figure out how to improve her chest issues ??

Everton home to Brighton can only be a 3 points as a minimum. Under this manager I have zero faith or confidence though.

I’m the same as you, would never nap during the day but you have to listen to your body. Sleep is the building block to it all.

I hope we put a good display and there is nice remembrance of Karl.

I’m big on listening to my body and what it asks me for and today it was a nap. I agree that sleep is incredibly important for our health. I need to get back to my sleeping routine since I have been off from work I have been going to sleep and waking up at various times but I’m more productive when I go to sleep and wake up about the same time every day.

Agree 100%.

I haven’t really worked since 15th December and had pencilled in Thur/Fri next week to start again but I need to bring that forward. Not work but rather routine.

I’m normally early nights and early morning walks before work and that suits me much better. The aimless sitting up to trawl TV just isn’t working out for me.

You also been having a nice long break. Lucky us ?

Same with me. I usually wake up around 5 and try to be at the gym by 5:30. I enjoy working out before starting work, it gets my energy going. It is also nice visiting the gym that early as it’s not as crowded as other times of the day. But if I want to be up that early then I need to be in bed by 10 pm at the latest. It doesn’t always happen but I try my best so I can get enough sleep.

Good luck getting back to your routine. I know I’ll be glad about getting back to mine.

Brighton are a decent team. Although he's only a full back Lamptey is a very dangerous player. It won't be an easy 3 points. Having said that, probably our best performance of the season came in our win away to them.
