Sorry messy, slightly off-thread but Gwladysover's post reminded me. Many years ago, I went to the funeral of a guy I worked with for many years. The day of the funeral was a real miserable, cloudy and rainy day. At the church service his two daughter's aged about 16 and 13 gave a reading. They went to the pulpit and the elder daughter went first and the youngest second. As soon as they got in the pulpit, the sun came out (for the first time that day) and sent a beam of light (like a searchlight) through the stained glass window straight on to the two girls.Love Oasis, Stop crying your heart out is a favourite and has helped me through some difficult times. I have already sorted the details of my funeral and am having ZCars but the string arrangement. Your comment about the pouring rain made me smile. At the funeral of a friend as we waited outside the crematorium just as the hearse bearing him passed by - out of nowhere came a freezing rain shower, he would have enjoyed the joke and I’m not sure he hadn’t pre-arranged it?.
As soon as they had finished, and left the pulpit, the sun disappeared together with the beam of light, and we never saw the sun again for the rest of the day. Will never forget that.
