Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

….really nice of you to ask.

i had 5 retina tears so any vision in my left might take a long time to come back, it’s a bit more comfortable as time passes but I have to lie on my right side for at least 50mins in every hour. Just hoping it’s all worth it and they don’t need to operate again.

Felling better than I did. Thanks again.
Good to hear you are feeling better. Just make sure you do as Mrs Eggs tells you and keep resting.

perhaps Unsurprisingly I’ve got retina damage to one of my eyes . it’s annoying and early days it can be painful, particularly when they’ve been messing about with it . However i’m Sure know you even if with detachments or scars it can usually be not too bad, depending on where they’re located .

Light and light bursts is the one I find particularly annoying , artificial lights like floodlights or headlights but like most things we get used to them don’t we mate ? What I will say is I appreciate its only just happened I think , hasn’t it , and often the improvement is quite marked so fingers crossed and good luck .

Hopefully a result today will help .

If I can help anybody else in anyway possible I will. Its taken me a long time to get to that way of thinking. Even when I was younger I was helpful with some people as they were usually helpful with me.

I don't post on here for pats on the back. I just know some people will never ask as they will think it's not their business. I say this because if I knew someone on here was in my boat I would want to know how they are getting on without bothering them. Love you all and I will type again soon.

Had a mad busy couple of days, so haven't had a chance to post until now. Just wanted to say that the more I read your posts, the more fond of you I become.

Apart from your courage and positivity in dealing with your situation, the kindness you've shown in wanting to help others, when it would be perfectly understandable to just focus on yourself, is truly heartwarming. You really are an absolute star.

You've also given me the idea that maybe everyone should plan their own funeral because we never know when or how suddenly we're going to go.

A mate of mine planned his funeral in his 30s, when he was perfectly healthy. At the time, I thought it was premature and a little morbid, but now I think he was right.

The song he wanted played was Days by The Kinks. Not a song I particularly like, but when I checked the lyrics, the words are brilliantly poignant for a funeral.

I have no idea what songs I'd choose for my own funeral. Difficult to get the right combination of really liking the song, but with relevant lyrics. I'd also have to resist an initial temptation to choose Going Underground by The Jam.

Hope the Blues put on a good performance for you today and we get three massive points.

Take care mate. X

No problem hope you are well.

Going underground what a tune.

My only problem with having the songs I have is I hope I don't spoil the songs for people. My mam had a particular song at her funeral and whenever I heard it with drink on board it would upset me.

Sorting funerals each to their own I think for someone like me it's ideal because it gives me something to focus on. Some people it would be to upsetting and if you set up 20 years ago might not be relevant to today. You will know what's right.

I've decided not to go my sisters as we are both tired. I also remembered she longer gets Sky Sports.

I love everyone that comes in here it's very humbling. I'll drag myself along as people recently have shown me the world is worth saving. The good sill out weighs the bad.

…..had a difficult week myself- Eye trouble over a few days resulted in a pretty nasty detached retina. Had quite a lengthy op on Tuesday. and now have to lie on my right side for two weeks to give it any chance of healing.

Frustrating & very uncomfortable time, Mrs Eggs doing a great job looking after me & keeping me in check. It’s going to be a long road back.

My dad had to go through this a few times and it does seem to be one of the most frustrating things ever to have to endure. Hope the days fly by and you make a full recovery.

Oh, Karl. I’m sorry the result wasn’t what we desired. I hope you don’t get too affect it by this loss. Love you ?

I'm sad but I'll be okay.

Why did he start Iwobi. In my opinion Grey should have started on left where he has been immense this season and Gordon should have been the player flitting between 2nd striker and number 10 which is his best position. Iwobi has had most of his better games coming off the bench. The defence and midfield were right in my opinion as Mina was far too much of a risk. Maybe needed to bring Gbamin on for Allan just to get some fresh legs in there about 65 minutes. I would also have brought on Iwobi at that time not sure who for but probably Gordon. Then in last 10 if chasing Dobbin on for Rondon.

Alas it wasn't to be. Chins up and prepare for the next game. Hopefully at least one but preferably both of our strikers will be available. I would start with one of them alongside Rondon who will be replaces by the other at half time. Then when the starter begins to tire bring on Gordon in their place. Obviously plans can be adapted but there needs to be a general idea of how it will go.

May your sadness be short lasting.

I’m also puzzled about Iwobi starting. I wish Benitez had chosen Gordon. But hopefully Richy and DCL will be back next weekend and provide us with the sparkle out that’s missing from our offense at the moment.

Hi mate. Just got back from watching the match with my mate. What a bag of poo. Enjoyed the catch up with my mate though.

Quick turnaround then out with the girls (ex workmates). I'm all largered out so maybe a G&T night. Think I'm gonna be in a state again later.
