Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Morning Messy. Hope you slept well.

Busy day for me. Going to sort out her bank account first. The manager there is a good friend and the lady I'm seeing is a sweetheart who used to work for me so I'm lucky I'm in good hands. Then it's on to the funeral directors to finalise the arrangements. Can't believe it's over 3 weeks since I first spoke to them.

Then my brother in law is coming over and we're seeing the celebrant to sort out the service. So a busy day and I've got one helluva hangover.

Well at least it stops me thinking about that performance yesterday hey mate.

Catch up on you later
Hope it goes well for you today x

I know we didn't have many options attacking wise but we all knew the ones he picked would struggle. If they are both fit Richarlison needs to start alongside Rondon. Then bring DCL into it. I also thought Townsend and Grey were poor but given they are wingers and how good they've been it was probably due, just a shame it was both of them in the same game. Benitez must have lost confidence in Davies has he normally gives him some minutes at the end. I want to see 4-3-3 at some point as it will mean we can rotate the attackers and it will give us some options off the bench. Doucoure and Allan would also benefit as it's an extra pair of legs in there. Currently they are playing 90 minutes every game just about. If two from Gbamin, Gomes, Delph and Davies stepped up one would start the other would come on when we needed fresh legs midway through a game.

If either Doucoure or Allan get injured, we're in trouble because Gbamin and Delph are both made of glass, Gomes gets bypassed too easily and Davies is just meh. We're also another player down because of (ahem) you know who.

Did you ever see that video where Everton players were being asked who's our most skilful player (when James was here, too) and nearly all of them said Iwobi? I can only assume he must be great in training, but match day nerves get the better of him. I remember a match last season when we were winning late on, can't remember which match, and he was trying to waste time near the corner flag. He was doing lots of stepovers and drag backs, looking really skilful....and then he fell over. lol Sums him up really.

Afternoon @Sassy Colombian @anjelikaferrett @Gwladysover @Bluetintedspecs @Barnfred 55 @Earwigjoe @blue1948 been meaning to have chat on here all day but kept getting side tracked. My problems have settled from Friday night so just trying to sort things out with people who want to visit. I've decided to see people in groups of 3-4 anymore and I get overwhelmed and one on one is too intense and I also zone out if there is a group at least they can talk amongst themselves.

Hope everything has been easy to sort Fred. I'm glad the bank people are familiar and friendly and I imagine the funeral people will be and its good you have some support.

Anjelika you enjoy your time away you've earned it.

PS all the random likes are because I try and do them as I go along but with one thing or another I've missed a few. I like to acknowledge as it's my way of showing some appreciation of everyone.

I am going to my cousins for tea tonight. We are going shopping first and this time we will get the much discussed soup @Armaghtoffee and I will enjoy.

Keep telling me about your days please I love hearing what people get up to its one of the things I miss not being at work. When we started home working not only did no one do anything much even when they did there was no one to talk to about. Covid has so much to answer for.

Couldn't help but think of you the other day when I saw a recipe for 'carrot and ginger' soup lol Knowing your sense of humour I'm sure you would appreciate that. ;)

Work for me today consists of recorded webinar training ? so I can then train the rest of the staff. I tried doing it this weekend and failed miserably.

Ha ha. My cousin is a ginger as well. Both my sisters escaped it and are on the blonde/brown spectrum.

Oddly I'm not overly keen on ginger. Don't mind an odd ginger snap dunked in tea. I like carrots they are amongst my favoured veg on Sunday dinners. When I was a kid I used to love a raw carrot as my snack on break times.

Hey, darling. It is a great to hear the problems that sent you back to the hospital last Friday have been settled. It is also good that you are sorting a strategy on how to best meet people, while it is great that family and friends want to meet with you and visit, you don't want to be overwhelmed either by a gesture that it is supposed to make you feel better so seeing them in groups and allowing others to carry the conversation seems like a good plan.

Enjoy your visit at your cousin tonight as well as the shopping.

My day has been fairly slow with work this morning, at the College where I work we are currently half way through the semester so students are not needing advising help as much these days but later next month will be madness again. Yesterday we visited with my family and had dinner at my mum's, the weather was lovely so we were able to have a BBQ and grilled steaks and veggies, along with a few mimosas. I'm very close with my family so we tend to get together on the weekends and have lunch or tea with them. My mom has the best yard with lots of trees so my daughter loves to climb and enjoy herself outside which is great because now days kids, including mine, are do addictive to being in front of a screen. Today it was super cold here in Asheville the temperature is starting to drop at night and it is starting to feel like fall or even winter early in the mornings but the sun is already shinning and it is already warming up. How is the weather where you live? Do you have a season that's your favorite one?

@messymascot - hope you're feeling ok brother? Everton certainly haven't helped my wellbeing over the weekend, especially considering I was striping the entire downstairs of wallpaper floor to ceiling so I was already in a nark - my back is not my friend today!

@Barnfred 55 - hope it went as well as could be expected today mate, none of that pallaver is very nice, so look after yourself bud.

Cheers @RAFUH for putting up with us after you're hard work - dunno how you do it!

Monday almost over - have a boss week blues everywhere!
