Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Fingers crossed that we dodge covid for another 10 days and we fly Friday week.

Got my cousin and his partner coming up from Plymouth to look after mum and all the animals!

Can't remember if we do Antigua this time , I know we've been at least twice before. I will just be relieved to get on the plane there are so many hurdles to jump.

Birthday was 22 December and @Sassy Colombian marked it very kindly with my own birthday thread.
Ha ha. I probably posted in it and can't remember. ;)

Are you flying out of Manchester?. I'll be there next Friday flying back to Cornwall. My flight is around 12pm.

TBH, it wasn't just him. Unfortunately there a few posters here that don't like me and I'm the kind of person that tries to get along with everyone so I was feeling down about it. But Karl cheered me up and was very supportive during this time, receiving his emails those few weeks while I was away made a great difference.
You can only be true to yourself Sass and express yourself accordingly. My mum used to say you can't be everyone's cup of tea. If anyone doesn't like you, that's their problem, not yours.

Anyway, we all love you in here. ??

I often wonder why things turn out the way they do. I know it's fate but sometimes I think what if.

I mean, the two of you are both Liverpool girls born 3 days apart. You went to schools practically around the corner from each other and Cal probably had to pass close to your school walking home to the Dingle every day. You probably went to the same bars, restaurants and night clubs. I wonder how many times your paths crossed, but you never actually knew each other.

Sorry, just being a bit philosophical. ;)
No need to be sorry ,at least while you are still sober ,have a great time in Liverpool .Half of me is jealous but the other half thinks what if ?

" I will just be relieved to get on the plane there are so many hurdles to jump."What kind of plane is it ?
I have heard of a chopper but never a hopper .

Sorry, I'm a bit late to this. I'm originally from Eastham on the Wirral. My scouse mum was a Blue, born in Everton, as was my nan, so I was always going to be one too. Early on in school, you were either blue or red, but I didn't really follow Everton properly until the 1970/71 when I was 8/9.

I've always had a great affinity for the city of Liverpool and it's people. As a kid I spent a lot of time in Liverpool and my grandparents lived in Huyton. We used to take the 41 bus from Eastham to Birkenhead, then take the ferry across the Mersey, which I loved.

Aged 13, in 1975, the family moved to Warrington in Cheshire, which used to be in Lancashire and always felt more like a Lancashire town. Found the accent a bit weird to start with. They pronounced chippy as chipper.

I moved to London in 1985 for work and lived in various areas from north, south and east London, before moving a bit further out to Kent in 1998, where I've been ever since. Got married in 1999. Have a 19 year old son and 16 year old daughter. My daughter has zero interest in footy, but my son is a Blue, despite living his whole life here, so that's now at least four generations of Evertonians in the family.
I love this. My 28 year old son is also an Evertonian, in spite of never having lived in Liverpool. He's 4th generation Everton as well. He says I have ruined his life ? ? ?

The Dingle is the greatest place in the world. All the very best people are from there.

On another note,

Alright people, get ready for Kiss A Ginger Day on January 12th!
So get out there and hug, compliment, kiss or whatever nice you have in mind to make a ginger blush and feel proud of their unique features. After all, you'd be surprised how much negativity redheads still get to hear because of those features..
But.. Keep in mind that no one ever said you're only supposed to do this on January 12th. ?

Showed the missus this, she changed it to kick a ginger
