Not Martinez although I did like him at the time. Belgium have won bog all despite the players they have and being ranked 1 for ages. I'd like Rooney. What he is doing at Derby, who are in a far worse mess than Everton, is astonishing and up until about a week ago was barely mentioned. There's something about Lampard that makes me dislike him intensely. I don't really know what. Didn't think he set the world on fire at Chelsea. The disappointed Evertonian inside me is expecting another underwhelming appointment like Koeman or Benitez. Step forward Nuno Espirito Sanchez. Curve ball - I wouldn't mind the Danish guy from Brentford. I'm so over southern Europeans. Hasn't worked! ??

Yeah Wayne's doing a great job at Derby and I wouldn't be unhappy if he came. But he's also somebody who splits opinions and I think we may still be a polarised fan base if he came and it's time to come together.

I also know what you mean about Lampard. As a player he had an arrogance about him. But he didn't get on with Gerrard and that's good enough for me. The enemy of my enemy is my friend and all that ?

Seriously I liked what Lampard did in his first season. He gave their young players an opportunity and Tuchel is now benefitting from that. Second season the board brought in about 8 new faces and I thought Lampard struggled to find the right balance.

I think Everton need to invest in young players going forward and we need a manager who has the balls to play them. Gordon's been arguably our best player since injuries forced his hand.

Yeah. My brother was on the same Metal Box snooker team with Barry and Ian Crockett and Denise Fisher that won the Garston League Cup back in the day. Funnily enough Dennis was showing photos of that night too on Saturday. Not sure if you knew Dennis. He has dementia sadly. I didn't realise.

I knew Freddys brother Ray quite well. He played footie for us for a shirt while. Saw him posting on the Speke Group you linked. Did you know Robbie Ireland. He'd be about your age.

Morning all. Our IT system is down....again. Absolute crock of poo. If we were DWP or Passport Office the media would be all over it. If you ever get bored Google the phrase 'masterclass in incompetence' and see what comes up.
I'm still full of cold but still negative so that's good. Was going to go to Liverpool this weekend but my Dad is also coughing and sneezing so I've decided to cancel. Inflicting my germs on him is probably not the best idea. He must be feeling rough because he cancelled a visit from his great granddaughter last weekend. She's nearly 1 and he adores her. How's Mrs J @jazzy - hope her sniffles haven't got any worse.

Anyway I'm off to sit and stare at a blank computer screen until something happens. Have a good day.

No. After blue posted I googled 'Moshiri offer' and an Echo article came up ' Sam Allardyce contacts Moshiri and offers to come back' What is going on. P*ss up/brewery springs to mind.
