I know this might be way off the mark but the wife's brother was a doctor and I got lots of pain from the occiput down to the top of my shoulders which gave me headaches across the brow ! Thee point is he used to inject saline into the muscles and it helped for weeks at a time .Sadly as I kept doing the same old stuff the pains would return but I don't have them anymore now that I am retired .It just might be worth asking but they burn like hell for a couple of minutes .I used to get acupuncture a lot off my old Dr but since he retired nobody else does it and I can't afford to go private.
I am big believer of acupuncture and I have gotten healed with it the few times that I have experienced pain, but unfortunately it is not the cheapest treatment. In Asheville we are fortunate that one of the best acupuncture clinics in town offers a pay scale approach so people only pay what they can afford, although the minimum is $25, still is more reasonable that the usual rates of $80-120 per visit.I used to get acupuncture a lot off my old Dr but since he retired nobody else does it and I can't afford to go private.
I do get injections Blue right across my shoulders to help trigger points and an occipital nerve block for headaches, I don't know how much they help as sleeping or sitting funny just makes me sore. My posture is a huge problem if I'm not concentrating on it and start slumping but I can't do anything about sleep in bed.I know this might be way off the mark but the wife's brother was a doctor and I got lots of pain from the occiput down to the top of my shoulders which gave me headaches across the brow ! I'd much prefer holistic treatments but I can't afford to so I have to use pharmaI am big believer of acupuncture and I have gotten healed with it the few times that I have experienced pain, but unfortunately it is not the cheapest treatment. Me too! It is so unfortunate that our health system and insurance focus on covering pharma but not holistic treatments.I'd much prefer holistic treatments but I can't afford to so I have to use pharma
It is a pain in the rear to do it but have you tried standing with your back against a wall and pushing your head back to the wall and up ? No hands just using the neck muscle .It is good for joiners as we have round shoulders leaning over a bench all day .I do get injections Blue right across my shoulders to help trigger points and an occipital nerve block for headaches, I don't know how much they help as sleeping or sitting funny just makes me sore. I have a traction device which i pop my head in and pull, it goes over the door and stretches your neck using weights, that helps as it relieves pressure. I also have a tens machine but I can never put it on properly. I also used to hang from a pull up bar to stretch the muscles around there but It broke. It is a pain in the rear to do it but have you tried standing with your back against a wall and pushing your head back to the wall and up ? This device looks like something that would help. How often do you have to use it to feel a difference? And do you keep it hooked on a door at all times?
I don't use it as often as I should really, I should use it daily but it's uncomfortable. Yes it stays on the door in the front room. This device looks like something that would help. How often do you have to use it to feel a difference? And do you keep it hooked on a door at all times?
Enjoy your walk! I wish I could do the same but instead I would be sliding all over the ice and would end up with a broken leg lol So I am off to the living room to do my workout ?️Just off to Burghley for a walk. The deer park is open and free to park and walk. Have a good afternoon all.
