Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I'm an early bird too :) Even on the weekends which drives me crazy because at least during the week the gym opens at 5:30 but on Saturday is 8 am so it messes with my schedule.

I wish you had too but you didn't want to listen to me :p

Happy to hear you and Mrs. J got negative results and are going to make it to the Caribbean. I hope you both have a fabulous time!

David, that's so upsetting, I'm very sorry you have to deal with such rubbish thing to be done to your truck just to steal garden umbrellas. I hope your car insurance covers the damage.

Jazzy, a very happy birthday wish to your mum. She is indeed very fortunate to have arrived to such a wise age with only the occasional backache, may her health continue for longer.

LT, I'm super excited for your grandson to get his tickets and hear about his reaction, he is going to be thrilled. No having Benitez in charged is going to make this match a great one, I've been reading how excited people are about supporting Duncan on Saturday. It seems the players are pumped up about it too and want to have a good performance so this match seems one that your grandson is going to remember forever. Have a great time with your family!

Ange, I'm so sorry to read this news about your dad, I hope they are able to finally find out why he is dealing with that bleeding again. The Royal's visiting policy sounds absurd though :(

I feel your pain, Ange. I had a brutal gym session this morning but now I'm feeling very satisfy with my accomplishment and you should too. Keep it up! Having your daughter to workout together is so nice, I wish I also had a partner but nor my husband or my mom are fans of the gym. They rather walk or exercise outdoors.

I'm also super excited about the game against Villa, I have the feeling we are going to have a great match. Did you read Pickford's article, he seems to imply that the players are much happier training now and will give everything for Duncan because he is highly respected. Sounds like many of them feel much better now that Benitez is gone.

Thanks for sharing these fantastic shots. I love to be able to a appreciate the same pic but during different times of the year.

Same here, it is another cold day and we are supposed to get more snow this evening. I really not looking forward to it. @blue1948 I admire your endurance in such a weather. The more I think about it the more I'm contemplating with the hubby moving somewhere warm when we retire.

I hope your double sided vision has improved ?
Thanks Zatty. Just one more test at the airport then on our way.

Just back from taking mum for lunch.

How far out of Asheville / close to the gym are you? I like a early start in the gym * 7am) but 5.30 is a bit mad.

Any news on the job front?

Good afternoon, friends!

Another cold day in Asheville, we still have snow on the ground but at least all the roads have been cleared and I was able to drive to the gym early this morning without issue. Yesterday was a very busy day for me after returning to work from the snow closings. I had so much work to catch up to and my daughter had virtual school because of the snow so in addition to doing my job I had to be her teacher yesterday so that kept me busy until the evening. Today it started busy but it has slow down so I wanted to stop by and check on everyone before I get occupied again. My mum is coming this afternoon to visit, I have not seen her since we spent a week at her house in December so I'm looking forward to spending the afternoon with her and have some tea together.

Cheers. xx

Sometime I have not other choice but to be Zatty lol

How was the lunch? Did mum ate something vegetarian too? and what did she have for dessert.

At 5:30 my gym is only 5 minutes away but other times of the day it can be 15-20 min depending how bad the traffic is. I absolutely love going to the gym at that time because there is hardly anyone there so it feels super safe and I don't have to wait to use the weights. My family is also snoozing at that time so it is the moment of the day that I'm fully focused on me and improving my health. Moreover, working out that early in the morning makes my day much better the rest of the day, I feel very energized, focus, and happy so I works perfectly for me.

Nope, no news but the hiring process at the College is slower than a pregnant turtle

Tea hmmmm
Remember
Warm the pot …. Put the tea into the warmed pot …. Pour water at a rolling boil directly onto the tea
Warm your cups
Pour tea … add a little milk
There you go :-)

My missus has tested positive for covid. She's had two LFTs.

Luckily, she's not too bad and only has heavy cold symptoms. She has asthma, so it was always a bit of a worry what would happen if she caught it. In a weird way, it's a bit of a relief now that she has caught it and we know she hasn't been affected too severely. The three jabs she's had will undoubtedly have helped.

Me and my daughter have tested negative, so my missus has been banished to the bedroom.

I’m sorry to hear that your wife caught the damn virus but hopefully the three jabs will keep her from having the worst effects. I have read that taking Zinc and vitamin D can help people get over Covid quickly. May you and your daughter remain healthy ?

I’m so disappointed, my mum had to cancel her visit because it has began snowing again and the temperature is already dropping below zero. She lives about 45 minutes away so it is not the safest for her to be on the road with this conditions. So no date or tea with my mama :(
Disappointing Sassy but best for her to stay safe and not risk the journey.

Won’t be long until you can meet up again.

Sorry to hear that. Hope she isn't too badly affected and gets well soon

That's a shame. I know how disappointed you will be but better for her to be safe. You would just worry about her being out in the snow x
