Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Hi Messy, just catching up with the thread. Hope you got to see the kittens ( crazy cat lady speaking!) and that you are having a good day today. I have to say I'm not a fan of oxtail soup, more of a pea and ham girl myself. although when eating Chinese food - hot and sour soup is a must have!

We've just got back from Scotland. It was lovely in spite of three days of non stop rain! we still managed to walk on the beach in spite of the rain and go to places. Our drive home took us within about 30 miles of Workington before we crossed over to the east. I waved to you lol lol

Bonus is I'm off for the rest of the week so don't have to go back to work until Monday.

My son tells me DCL is out for another 2 months. Is this true.? I'll be gutted if it is. Especially as Doucoure is injured as well.

Yesterday was catching up with old friends which was good. Bit more of that today plus seeing some family.

I'm streaming Friday's service live for those that can't get there. I got the link through last night and there's loads to send it to so that will probably occupy my morning. Out for lunch with the lovely lady I've been staying with, then this afternoon I'll need to read through the draft eulogy the celebrant has sent through to me. That will no doubt be very emotional. Tonight it's drinks with more family and friends.

Anyway I'm taking up too much of this thread. You take care and if you feel tired then just have a sleep. I'll catch up again with you later mate.
Oh Fred ( do you prefer Fred or Barn? ? ) I'll be thinking of you on Friday. I'm glad you are getting support from family and friends. x

Ange, I’m glad to read that you had a good time in Scotland in spite of the rain. Enjoy the rest of the week off, hopefully the weather is nicer at home.

Oh my, I had not read the news about DCL, that’s a big blow for us given Rondón still is not very fit.

I don't know where he got the info from. I'm hoping it's just socail media talk but if it isn't....oh dear.

Just finished my day , hope Friday goes ok and I’ll certainly be thinking of you . If you need anything then please don’t hesitate to message .

Evening everyone

I think me and Messy are referring to Heinz oxtail soup, which has tiny bits of meat in it and just tastes beefy, rather than anything with big chunks of meat, although I haven't had it since I was a kid. Quite partial to a bit of pea and ham myself, but today I had Tesco Finest chicken and chestnut mushroom, which had bits of basmati rice in. Posh or what?

That is exactly what I'm referring to Heinz Oxtail soup. My favourite of all time.

Good morning, Karl!

I hope you got some rest yesterday and feeling more energetic today. I'm sorry I wasn't able to stop by yesterday but I had professional development at work and today I have been dealing with a student having a mental crisis and trying to withdraw from classes so it has been hectic the past few days but it seems everyone else has been keeping you in good company.

I agree with you that I would feel more comfortable with our squad if we signed a LB or RB the upcoming winter window. Our squad is just too thin and now that Doucoure is going to be out for a while we really need to sign some players unless we are not serious about competing.

Don't worry about it we all need an occasional break gives us chance to recharge our batteries. Yeah there is always good company in here we all gee each other up. Losing Doucoure and DCL both are hammer blows hopefully get Richarlison back to give us some goals but he will need to be on top form right away. One more big player injured and we are goosed but at least big Yerry will be back against Watford.

I did get to see them but I was too tired to get photos of them. Crazy cat lady I would have thought ferrets were more your thing given the username. That will have been Carlisle when you were 30 miles away. Glad you enjoyed your holiday in spite of the rain. Just chil until Monday then.

There is definitely great company here and we all care about you!

I’m trying to look at the positive side of these injuries with the outlook that it will allow Benitez to give an opportunity to the young players and it will help them growth their game thus making our team stronger. Although let’s hope there are no more injuries anytime soon and may the goddesses protect big Yerry from getting hurt. Our defense needs him badly for Saturday’s match.

Rest well, darling. Xx

You can call me whichever you want hun. At the end of the day a name is just a name. It's the sentiment behind the message that's important. And the sentiment from you and everybody else in here is special and what makes this forum so fantastic.

Sorry I've had a few tonight as you can probably tell

One positive is Gbamin should definitely get a chance to show what he can do. Without the injury to Doucoure there was no way he was getting a chance from the start. If Richarlison is back he can play a few games as cental striker in a 3. Then when the 2 players get back it will be like having 2 new signings. Yerry is definitely our best CB at the moment so he needs to play every game he can.

You've earned them drinks. I've just woke up on the sofa after randomly nodding off.

Mate I fell asleep in the bath earlier and was half an hour late meeting up with family. Plus I spoilt a perfectly good book I was (perhaps foolishly) reading in the bath.
