Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

I would take the Devil himself to manage us now if we stayed up.

You are right about the importance of knowing the league at this point. Lampard and Rooney will both have been eyeing up future jobs as well as watching as fans and there is no one they won’t know about already.

Galtier would be a great option to though but only from Summer on.

If it’s one of the former two, give them 5 years to build something, let them actually form an identity for the club and I will have no complaints.
Absolutely no way. Never.

Besides, I don't believe Villa would let him come.

Afternoon all. Very busy today. I honestly haven't stopped. So much to do. Off to the gym tonight and then it's Wednesday my day off. I'm meeting a friend for lunch. She was my in the office lunch buddy so it will be nice to see her.

I know I said I wasn't going to bore you with weight loss stories but in my first week of healthy eating and proper exercise I lost 7lbs. I have to say I was totally rating myself! I promise there will be no more for at least a month.

I'm stalking @jazzy 's cruise via my friends who are on the same one and are posting millions of pics on social media. It does look good. Was a dressy up night last night and I think they are in St Kitts today. All that sunshine I'm so jealous.

If the rumours are true about the alleged new manager I am completely underwhelmed. Another meh appointment like Koeman, Silva and Benitez. I saw a lovely man on Sky Sports News the other night. He's manager of Kelty Hearts. ( I think that's what they are called) Talked a lot of sense, very ambitious. I wish they would take a punt on a real wild card like him We can't get any worse....

Amazing people to be honest Fred, MIL is 60 and FIL is 66, fostered all their lives and gave everyone they could a chance in life, no conditions attached. Three of the "foster" kids are still there now, two well into their 20s and one 19, its home for everyone with kids of foster kids coming for overnight visits etc. FIL worked for 47 years at the same job before retiring 5 1/2 days a week, every week, i only found out the week before he retired that the 1/2 day Saturday morning was overtime which he just always did as part of the routine. He was diagnosed with very early Prostate Cancer about a year ago but thankfully it was just a matter of wiping the prostate out and that was that, no need for further treatment. I agree completely with you, its their time now and they did head for Spain for 3 weeks before Christmas when my FIL retired, so hopefully once they get over this bump they can get back to what they had planned. Talks of buying a place in Portugal were getting stronger recently so we will see what happens.

Im living north of Cork city between Blarney and a town called Mallow, in the countryside around where my wife is from. I am originally from the city though. Castletownbere and that whole West Cork area is absolutely beautiful and a world away from bust city life, the North Atlantic Way along the western sea board really is worth a visit if anyone ever got a chance. For me teh county is so big (in Irish terms) i would be in Dublin in the same time it would take me to get to Castletownbere but i know which one i would prefer to do anyday
Awesome. My Dad's family were all from Cork.

Morning all another very cloudy and grey day. Just back from dropping grandson off at school. He’s 13 and a quiet, rather anxious kid and not laddish in the slightest. Our conversation at breakfast reminded me so much of my own schooldays and why the day I left school was one of the happiest days of my life! Have a great day all.
Ah, bless him. My 16 year old daughter is quite anxious, but what with the usual teenage angst, period problems and GCSE exams coming up in the summer, it's no surprise really. In our house, with all the teenage hormones and my wife's menopausal stuff, some days I just keep my head down.

Bless you. Tell Mrs BTS that black cohosh and sage kept me sane. You can get both in tablet form.

Sorry to hear about your mother-in-law, but thankfully the prognosis is positive. Your in-laws are indeed amazing people who've done so much to help kids who've had a hard time. A mate of mine started doing week-end fostering fairly recently. Their kids are both teenagers who've left home, so they take in foster kids for the week-end, sometimes a week or two if they can find the time, to give the full-time foster parents a break, particularly if some of the kids are quite draining to look after. He told me some of the kids have been pretty damaged, but him and his wife do find it very rewarding.

Wow, you can see gee-gees from your window, Anje.

There's another word for you @Sassy Colombian pronounced jee-jees. ;)
Gee-gees are horses? Now, that’s strange word

I’m currently making travel plans to go to Goodison to watch a game in the Alex Young lounge funnily enough !
Can’t wait for it now Benitez has gone.
Have a great time!

Good morning on the first day of what is hopefully a better week for all,I hope everyone slept well and has a great day .
It is a bit slower in here as @Barnfred 55 says but it is mostly down to the fact that @Sassy Colombian has reduced her input .Of course we all a bit down with the team situation but we will have worse times in our lives . Stay the course blues and chin up that man! COYB .
Hahaha, no that I want to reduced my input but sometimes life prevents me from coming to visit you all.

Detox is going well BTS. And tbh, I'm quite enjoying a bit of me time after last week.

Went to the shops today so got some fresh ingredients. Going to cook a Thai Red curry and a chicken fried rice amongst other things this week.

Not sure about this new manager being linked. In fairness I've never even heard of him but he's been around the minor leagues for a while by the looks of it and not too successfully either. It's a massive risk to bring in somebody who has zero experience of the Premier. A risk, in all honesty, that we cannot afford. I just hope it's all paper talk with very little truth involved, but I said that about Benitez too.

I've delved into his thread on here a few times and I haven't seen a single positive post so far. Well I suppose his potential appointment has united the fans at least. lol
Glad to hear your detox is going well, Fred. Sometimes our bodies needs such breaks. My husband and I began one this week for 10 days. He has a lot of stomach issues so we are trying to figure out what food bothers him. For the next 10 days, in addition to alcohol we are cutting all sugar, caffeine, legumes, gluten, diary, and carbs. It is going to be painful but hopefully it will help reset our metabolisms.

I’m also not very keen with the recent rumours regarding Pereira. I’m starting to get nervous that the Board is not going to get this right

Good morning all. We are having a "perfect week" in work aka micromanage you to within an inch of your lives, cancel all meetings except the ones to do with perfect week - currently counted at 9 a day for various people to attend. It's like being in a particularly bad episode of The Office. Here's a novel idea, F off, leave me alone and I'll do my job. The PowerPoint that came with this initiative (because there is always a PowerPoint) read like we were about to invade Iraq! It actually mentioned battle plans.
Apologies but I needed to get that out of my system!
How is everyone? @larbert toffee I'm dying to hear about your grandson's trip to Goodison. Did he love it- apart from the result. I have bought tickets for the Newcastle match so will be going to that. Hopefully a win. I was at that match where we were 2-0 up against Newcastle until the 92nd minute and managed a draw! They owe me one.

News on the Dad front. It looks like he's got a gastric ulcer which would explain the bleeding. If that's the case then it can be treated relatively easily. He's having a scan today to confirm that he does have one.

Anyway I'm off to be perfect! Have a lovely day all
Ange, that’s good news about your dad. A gastric ulcer is a much better prognosis than it could have been, so hopefully can be get it treated so it stops his bleeding.

Good morning all, hi Anj, we had a great weekend, I eventually handed him his ticket on the train to the ground and his little eyes lit up. We were top balcony main stand in the Park end corner and had a great view, bought him the obligatory hat and scarf., only the result spoiled the day.
Glad to hear your dad's problem is treatable that will be a big weight off your mind.
I did the big handover to my brother regarding my parents at the weekend, my stint is now complete and he intends to go part time at his work and spend 4/5 hours a day caring for them.
Good luck with your work politics, I don't miss that side of things at all.
Hope you and everyone else has a good day.
LT, too bad the results spoiled the day but it seems everything else about his experience was great. Hopefully next time he attends, he will be able to see our Blues win ??

I think my daughter’s happiest day is also went ever she is done with school for good. Although the poor girl still has a long way to go ?

Hi gang. Just a quick update. Arrived in St Kitts after a very sunny day at sea. All good so far which is more than can be said for Everton. Hope you are all playing nice and behaving yourselves , yes that means you @Barnfred 55. Will catch up later. Have fun , now Where's my beer?
What a happy surprise to hear from you, Jazzy. Enjoy the sunny days at sea but make sure to wear your sun protection.

Hello Mascoteers, hope everyone is good, been mad busy last week or so, not much GOT time, but my love for y'all remains strong ?
We love you too, Tommy. Whether you visit us often or not. I hope this week is not so busy for you. Xx

We already had the devil, it was Benitez and he did nothing good for us lol

What do you think about Kovac?

Oh oh.

Multiquote from Zatty Sassy incoming I think.?

Kovac would be a great appointment but I just can’t see it. A free agent though so an immediate start if we can get him over the line.

Of course I missed you Sass.

Hello everyone. I am sorry again about my multiquote manners, but I find it impossible not to comment on people’s post when I have been away for a bit.

Yesterday was madness at work. I been having issues with my work laptop for a few days now but IT hadn’t solved it and yesterday it gave up and crashed. So I had to go to campus to get a new one and the remaining of the day I spent it trying to retrieve everything that I had lost. Today I’m having issues again, now I’m waiting for IT to fix my VPN connection issues. So to summarize the last couple of days have been a bit stressful and super busy but at least the sun is shining and I’m back to the gym, my daughter is back to school and our routines are going well.

On other developments, our new kitty seems to be in heat so that has been a different experience for us, because our first cat was fixed when we adopted him so we never went through this horny stage that she is encountering at the moment. She is also not very happy that we have restrained her outdoor access but I’m not ready to be a grandma yet lol Our other cat is also puzzled by her behavior, a few days ago she was hissing at him over food and now all she wants to do is to rub against him which he is not liking at all. Hopefully in a few more days she will be done with it and we can take her to the vet to see if she can also get fixed.

That’s all from me. Love you all. Xx
