Messymascot's faith in humanity and ginger safe haven

Afternoon all,

I'm still on room service duties as my missus moves onto day 4 of her covid isolation. I went for a walk with my daugher yesterday afternoon and couldn't figure out why I'd done over a thousand more steps than her, then realised it was all the trips up and down the stairs bringing the Lady of the Manor her meals, cups of tea and coffee, various other supplies and removing dirty dishes, etc. Don't mind though. Can't be much fun cooped up in the bedroom all day every day.

@anjelikaferrett it's good to know that it's likely your dad's problem isn't too serious, which must be a huge relief for you. Hopefully the scan today will confirm that.

@Barnfred 55 how's it going with the detox and being back at home? Might feel a bit weird after all the busy-ness of last week.

@Terrarian we haven't heard from you for a bit. Hope you're OK and not in too much pain. Is that lovely dog of your still keeping you on your toes? You've probably just been busy with your gaming.

@jazzy no holiday pics yet? We know you've now mastered the art of posting pics, so....

Hope everyone has a splendid day. ?
Detox is going well BTS. And tbh, I'm quite enjoying a bit of me time after last week.

Went to the shops today so got some fresh ingredients. Going to cook a Thai Red curry and a chicken fried rice amongst other things this week.

Not sure about this new manager being linked. In fairness I've never even heard of him but he's been around the minor leagues for a while by the looks of it and not too successfully either. It's a massive risk to bring in somebody who has zero experience of the Premier. A risk, in all honesty, that we cannot afford. I just hope it's all paper talk with very little truth involved, but I said that about Benitez too.

I've delved into his thread on here a few times and I haven't seen a single positive post so far. Well I suppose his potential appointment has united the fans at least. lol

Well done on the detox. As to the new manger being linked I’ve never heard of him but then he’s never heard of me either.lol

Best wishes to Mrs BTS, hope she is coping okay with her isolation, I think I would be climbing the walls by now. Sounds as though you are doing a great job looking after her.

I think you can say shagging on here! I've heard that foxes make the most unearthly noises whilst engaged in a night of passion. Like someone being murdered.
You're doing a grand job looking after Mrs BTS. I'm sure she appreciates it.
Thanks lovelies. Mrs B's a bit bored, but she does really appreciate me looking after her, so I'm scoring lots of Brownie points. It's her birthday on Thursday, so we're hoping she'll be ok by then. ?

Yeah, foxes can be very loud when mating. Those vixens do take fake orgasms to the next level. It's normally at night though, but these two were at it in broad daylight and using the roof of my neighbour's garage as some sort of shagging podium for all to see. Talk about brazen exhibitionism. Quite admirable really.

Good to hear you're enjoying a bit of me time Fred.

I'm also nervous about the links to Pereira. As you say, it would be a massive risk considering our position in the league. Surely Moshiri isn't that stupid, or is he?

Burnley have games in hand, Newcastle could get a few players in and Watford could get a new manager bounce. On current form, we're the worst team in the league, so if we don't get this appointment right we could be in trouble.

I do hope it wasn't on a ,match day. Especially if the cameras were there. lol lol
This made me laugh much more then it should have

Tough weekend tbh as my Mother in law had a stroke on Friday morning, luckily my father in law retired lately as was home as was my sister in law who was working from home so medical help was there quickly and thankfully all is good now and looks like she will make a full recovery.

Watching Everton is tough going at the moment, there really aren't many positives from many games and I thought Duncan made an absolute balls of the team selection on Saturday. Second half covered a lot of a disgraceful first half performance but we can't keep giving sides a 45 min head start.
I'm one of the (un)lucky ones on here in that I can get away from Everton and concentrate on my local side Cork City for some of the week but I can't imagine being stuck 100% in the current Everton quagmire. Our season runs February - November so it's pre season here now but the thought of getting back to live games on a Friday night is very appealing now. Started back with the City podcast as well last night and tbf it's a very enjoyable distraction from life, if a lot of work.

Hope everyone is keeping well and life is good

Morning all on this beautiful day ,I hope all had a good nights sleep and have a great day today .
On the foxes copulating ,it is a terrible cry like a baby screaming it's heart out ,first time I heard it I ran out to see what was happening . COYB
I hear that crying noise from time to time. I knew it was a fox sound but had no idea what hey were upto. Next time I hear it I'll grab my camera so I can take some pics for Sass. ;)

Sorry to hear about your mother in law mate. The sooner you can get medical aid to a stroke victim the much better the prognosis, Hopefully she will make a full recovery.

I'm not sure how old your in laws are but you mentioned the husband has recently retired. I took semi retirement early (52) and my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer the following year. Luckily it was spotted early and she made a full recovery. But we took that as a warning not to take anything for granted and we spent the next 7/8 years doing the things we most loved, which was mainly cruising and holidaying down here in Cornwall, before eventually moving down here. I'm so glad we did now because we got to share some special moments. I'm not saying your in laws should up sticks or anything, but I think it's important that they enjoy the moment and live life as full as they can. I'm glad I did.

Do you live in Cork City itself?. My uncle used to live in Castletown Bere in the far west of the county.

Morning all another very cloudy and grey day. Just back from dropping grandson off at school. He’s 13 and a quiet, rather anxious kid and not laddish in the slightest. Our conversation at breakfast reminded me so much of my own schooldays and why the day I left school was one of the happiest days of my life! Have a great day all.
Hope he wasn't wearing brown knickers Gwladys lol
