Good morning all. We are having a "perfect week" in work aka micromanage you to within an inch of your lives, cancel all meetings except the ones to do with perfect week - currently counted at 9 a day for various people to attend. It's like being in a particularly bad episode of The Office. Here's a novel idea, F off, leave me alone and I'll do my job. The PowerPoint that came with this initiative (because there is always a PowerPoint) read like we were about to invade Iraq! It actually mentioned battle plans.
Apologies but I needed to get that out of my system!
How is everyone? @larbert toffee I'm dying to hear about your grandson's trip to Goodison. Did he love it- apart from the result. I have bought tickets for the Newcastle match so will be going to that. Hopefully a win. I was at that match where we were 2-0 up against Newcastle until the 92nd minute and managed a draw! They owe me one.

News on the Dad front. It looks like he's got a gastric ulcer which would explain the bleeding. If that's the case then it can be treated relatively easily. He's having a scan today to confirm that he does have one.

Anyway I'm off to be perfect! Have a lovely day all

Good morning all, hi Anj, we had a great weekend, I eventually handed him his ticket on the train to the ground and his little eyes lit up. We were top balcony main stand in the Park end corner and had a great view, bought him the obligatory hat and scarf., only the result spoiled the day.
Glad to hear your dad's problem is treatable that will be a big weight off your mind.
I did the big handover to my brother regarding my parents at the weekend, my stint is now complete and he intends to go part time at his work and spend 4/5 hours a day caring for them.
Good luck with your work politics, I don't miss that side of things at all.
Hope you and everyone else has a good day.

That's so cool. I bet he was buzzing. My first Goodison experience was Top Balcony.

More fool them for thinking they can improve on your existing perfection.

I want to say it’s good news re your dad but he’s still got a gastric ulcer to put up with, so I guess we’ll go for “positive news”! Hopefully he gets over it ASAP and can put the whole episode behind him.

I can, one of the farmers rents out some of his land for grazing. This beautiful boy is quite often a nosey NEIGHbour lol

Nice pic Anje. It certainly beats the view I had from my own back bedroom the other day. Namely two foxes shagging on next door's garage roof. Can I say shagging on here?

And no, I don't have any pics.

Afternoon all,

I'm still on room service duties as my missus moves onto day 4 of her covid isolation. I went for a walk with my daugher yesterday afternoon and couldn't figure out why I'd done over a thousand more steps than her, then realised it was all the trips up and down the stairs bringing the Lady of the Manor her meals, cups of tea and coffee, various other supplies and removing dirty dishes, etc. Don't mind though. Can't be much fun cooped up in the bedroom all day every day.

@anjelikaferrett it's good to know that it's likely your dad's problem isn't too serious, which must be a huge relief for you. Hopefully the scan today will confirm that.

@Barnfred 55 how's it going with the detox and being back at home? Might feel a bit weird after all the busy-ness of last week.

@Terrarian we haven't heard from you for a bit. Hope you're OK and not in too much pain. Is that lovely dog of your still keeping you on your toes? You've probably just been busy with your gaming.

@jazzy no holiday pics yet? We know you've now mastered the art of posting pics, so....

Hope everyone has a splendid day. ?

Best wishes to Mrs BTS, hope she is coping okay with her isolation, I think I would be climbing the walls by now. Sounds as though you are doing a great job looking after her.

I think you can say shagging on here! I've heard that foxes make the most unearthly noises whilst engaged in a night of passion. Like someone being murdered.
You're doing a grand job looking after Mrs BTS. I'm sure she appreciates it.

Good news on the Dad front Anj. They are quite common and, as you say, would explain the bleeding. I'd be asking why it wasn't diagnosed first time around.
