Finally ,good afternoon all ,had a busy morning when I get something into my head I can't let go ,so I have been hifi'ing it and have finally found what I want .
That is after ordering a receiver on the net which said could be delayed ,I mailed them this morning to know what the delay might be and it seems they took my money but forgot to mention the item had been discontinued -they said " it might be three days ,three weeks or six months before we get word it will not arrive !!!!
Of course I got my money back straight away as they are very honest here .
So now I have bought the same item but used with all the speakers I would have had to buy for 40€ less the the receiver cost ,it will of course cost that in petrol to go and get them . Male logic keeps the world turning .

I was told that cats that roam usually have two homes ,the one of the owner and another with more food and a nice place to sleep. Although I suspect she is "out on the rampage "having the time of her life .

Who knows Fred. Goldie was a randy little minx when she was on heat. She was a cross between a Golden Retriever and a Whippet, and the Whippet in her made her very fast. Quite a few times I'd be walking her in the park and she'd just leg it after a dog, with me running after her with zero chance of catching her. She had so many litters of pups that the vet advised us to have her spayed for her own health.

Lovely dog though. She was a rescue dog.

Welcome mate. Feel free to post whatever you like in here, whether light-hearted or more serious, as there's no chance of being off topic. They're a great bunch of people, who don't judge, are very supportive and are always respectful of others. Some of us have got to know each other quite a bit these past few months, shared stuff about our lives and become good friends.

Also sorry to hear about your Dad @anjelikaferrett, he may not be telling you everything to spare you any worry, my Mum was guilty of this and would only admit there was anything wrong as a last resort. Hope you are able to get some information from the hospital. Welcome @blue to the bone we have had a varied range of topics under discussion recently some of which I can safely say you won’t find anywhere else., eh @Barnfred 55 lol

Got an agreement in prinicple with a company and scoping Woolton but there's some belter places around Knowsley for 'bang for your buck', quite fancy being a woolyback.
 

Afternoon all,

My missus is still testing positive for Covid, a week after her first positive test. She has a couple of friends who weren't negative until day 9 and 10.

It's her birthday today, as well! We were in lockdown for her birthday last year. I'm at home all day and trying to make it a bit less crap for her by bringing her nice food and treats. Made her a cooked breakfast this morning, smoked salmon for lunch and facetiming each other a lot.

@anjelikaferrett Sorry to hear about your dad Anje. Although frustrating that he's keeping stuff from you, I suppose it's natural for people to try and shield loved ones from worrying. Hope you manage to get some info from the hospital.

Oh, and floozie, lol haven't heard that in such a long time.

@Sassy Colombian Hope your cat comes home soon, the little floozie.

@Ducans elbow Hope you're not suffering too much with the dreaded covid. Is that a deliberate mis-spelling of Duncan or did you balls up when you registered? It confused me for quite a while when I kept trying to type in Duncan and your username wouldn't come up, then realised it was Ducans. lol

So it looks like our new manager's going to be Lampard. Not the best candidate out there, but probably the best of the few who seemed to be on the shortlist. I'm just releived it's not Pereira. What do people think?

I'm fine with it mate. I was one of the very few in here calling for him before Benitez was appointed.

Poor Mrs BTS. Happy birthday to her. You're doing a lovely job trying to make it fun for her. Thank you for your kind words about my Dad. I understand That your kids are still your kids no matter how old they are and he probably is trying to stop us worrying but if we are going to be able to support him with whatever transpires then he's going to have to tell us so we can at least have a plan. I did call the hospital and spoke to somebody on the ward who when I said he was giving us no information and there were allegedly no results just went "aaahhhh, right. I'll take your number and get one of the medical team to call you back" no call back yet.

As far as the manager is concerned I'm underwhelmed by both of them. Lampard marginally better that Pereira whose car crash interview yesterday was tow-curlingly embarrassing. I would prefer Rooney to be honest But I think his extra curricular activities might rule him out.
